He can hug all the American flags he wants, but he has American blood on his hands, on every front, with his lack of leadership and gross incompetence.
Even if he claims he wasn't told (he was) there is NO GOOD WAY OUT of this. I mean even Liz Cheney (gag) is asking the correct questions, so now she's our hope for the GOP? Wow.

I've been seeing decent coverage of this, but obviously huge spikes in the virus in some states are overshadowing it.
Basically, it is fucked up that our president was quick to "dominate the streets" for his photo op in DC but is hemming and hawing about what to do with Russia three months later.

I’m in absolute disbelief that this is where we are as a country. What will it take to get him out? He’s still actively kissing Putin’s ass in the midst of this.
I cannot believe that we are in a place where this is like any other story. It's appalling how he's destroyed so much that THIS story has to fight for attention.
I saw someone say on Twitter that this story is what the Republicans were trying to make Benghazi into, and it chilled me. For all of the screaming and shouting that party did about supporting the troops and protecting American lives overseas, they truly don't care about the people behind those uniforms.
“No one has done more for the military than I have!” Isn’t that the fucking truth. No other president has sold American soldier’s lives to the Russians in order to get foreign help being re-elected.
He lost a lot of support from military members with the Lafayette Square incident, lost more with his handling of racial inequality issues (racist tweets, refusal to rename military bases), and this will lose him even more.
And yet I still see people saying, "God bless Trump! If he steps down it will only be because he loves this country so much and decides that's what's best for it." HE. IS. A. TRAITOR.

His supporters think he might step down??!!
Fox News had a big article about it on their site over the weekend. Probably to rally the base.
So, the options are: 1. He wasn't briefed, meaning either: 1.a. The intelligence was withheld because the NSC/CIA deliberately kept it from him and everyone else is lying about it, or; 1.b. The intelligence was withheld because the NSC/CIA made a grave error and everyone else is lying to cover it up; --OR-- 2. He was briefed, is lying about it repeatedly, and: 2.1.a He just didn't read the briefs or pay attention to what he was reading, or; 2.1.b He read/understood multiple briefings and chose to ignore them.
None of those options are okay. At all.
ETA: For the record, I'm with the last option, personally.
This is terrible and terrifying. 😭 Why isn’t this blowing up? Is there just too much going on at once?
I'm seeing it a lot, but also I'm paying attention. That being said, I'm seeing people who are usually with it when it comes to the news shocked about it today after I posted a link. So I'm guessing too much at once.

Susan Rice basically agrees with this. None of the options are good. Either he is incompetent or he is a traitor. If he's not even being briefed by intelligence agencies, then he's not acting in his capacity as commander-in-chief. Why?
"I don’t believe this for a minute, but if it were true, it means that Trump is not even pretending to serve as commander in chief. And no one around him has the guts to ask him to. More evidence of their deadly incompetence."
Tweet she linked to: "JUST IN -
@presssec
says neither Trump nor Pence were briefed on the "alleged Russian bounty intelligence" first reported by NYT"

I believe the NYT and other outlets reporting that he was briefed on it. He lies about everything - why would we believe him that he wasn't briefed? Is he conflating "didn't read the briefing" with "wasn't briefed"?
I'm guessing he didn't read/pay attention, and then maybe someone brought it to him again (NYT article says the NSC and other agencies discussed a menu of options) and he ignored it.

Based on what Bolton's been saying lately about Trump, 2.1.a is a strong possibility. He does not look at the details. He sees something bright and shiny and can't focus on anything else. He's both evil and incompetent so both 2.1.a and 2.1.b are the strongest possibilities, but he's just so stupid that 2.1.a is my assumption. I have more trust in our intelligence communities despite their own shenanigans so while 1 is possible, this seems too significant for them to just not mention to the president.
I keep coming back to this, and I still don’t understand how this is another thing to sweep under the rug.
You don’t have to support democrats to find the flaws within your own party.
I know. Every time something comes out, I think, “Surely, now, people will speak up. Surely there have to be SOME Republicans with morals still in Congress.”
And then, like Charlie Brown and the football, I’m disappointed yet again.

The Trump administration has never followed proper record keeping procedures. The only way someone will find a stamped piece of paper is if the administration is SO incompetent that they didn't realize to not stamp and/or destroy the record.

OK, let's assume for a second he wasn't briefed (which we know is BS). What did he then do when he DID find out? Did he take action against Russia? Or bring a team together to discuss repercussions? No! He went golfing! If that truly was the first time he was hearing about it, and he gave a shit, I can't imagine he'd still spend the next two days golfing!
