Any suggestions? Budget friendly is better, but any for inspiration. I feel like we have no style when trying to decide how we'll decorate if we get this house.
I like using Instagram hashtags. I’ll find a style that I like and then I go to their page to look at more pictures and possibly find a link to their blog.
I don't read many blogs but there are quite a few people that I like on IG. My favorites are classyclutter, mallorynikolaushome, theramblingredhead (she's filming a show for HGTV and will have a lot more home stuff soon), thespoiledhome, ourfauxfarmhouse, ninawilliamsblog, and arrowsandbow. Their homes are all a little different but it makes it fun to look at the variety of ideas that are around the home decor world. Good luck on getting the new house!
My suggestion is to spend LOTS of time browsing and thinking about what you want, then throw images on Word so you can see everything together. You can remove backgrounds from image files, which makes it really easy to nicely layer images together.
Don't buy anything until you feel confident in the look you're going for. You don't have to buy everything at once, but if you have a solid idea of what you want, it will be easier to develop a room you actually like over time.
You can also do a mini package through havenly.com (and probably other design sites) where a designer can help you develop a room you like, then you can buy items as you're able.
Design Instagrammers I follow: @sgardnerstyle @thehavenly @carmeon.hamilton (not my style, but her stuff is great) @,younghouselove (remove the comma, apparently there's a poster with that name so it's tagging them) @grillodesigns @unlikelymartha @albieknows (she posts good mood boards that might be helpful)
