I just started the Zorzi Affair by Sylvia Prince Also still listening to Doing Harm but not making much progress. The section about heart attacks was giving me anxiety, plus it isn’t one you “want” to pick up.
QOTW: Valentine’s Day or Easter. Both are meh to me.
I was reading The Starless Sea but I quit. I’m currently reading Hamilton which is long but good. I also got 2 more ebooks from my library so I’m going to need to get reading.
This week I read Afterlife by Julia Alvarez (LOVED) and In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado (excellent).
I'm two-thirds through A Murderous Relation (A Veronica Speedwell Mystery #5). For as much as I was anticipating it I'm not enjoying it like I thought I would. It feels too similar to one or two of the series' earlier books. If Veronica and Stoker don't get it on by the end of the book I'm going to be annoyed.
QOTW: Valentine's Day is a good answer. It's such a non-entity in my life.
I finished Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene, 3* and the kids and I finished Where is the Bermuda Triangle? by Megan Stine. I thought this book was well written and well organized to keep the kids attention. The kids were giving me their theories throughout the entire book. I am currently reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins and am reading Where is Area 51? by Paula Manzanero with the kids.
QOTW: I'd pick St. Patrick's Day. While we didn't do much for either Valentine's Day or Easter I do enjoy watching my kids receive Valentine's and watching them hunt for eggs; the kids don't really get into St. Patrick's Day.
meowmaps, I felt the same way about the Veronica Speedwell book. I was so excited to finally get it and then ... meh. It felt like it was all action and not much plot or character.
Currently reading Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage, which is a seriously weird story. I wouldn’t call it enjoyable but it’s definitely compelling.
I can’t come up with any holidays to banish. I don’t do anything for Valentine’s Day, but I’m ok with it existing. I really love gobstopper valentine hearts, so I don’t want to miss those.

I loved the first 2 books but by the 3rd I got so sick of the same plot. I will pick them up again later this year. I hope they get it on too lol.
