I also don’t have to worry about what shenanigans the kids will come up with when they get off the bus and panic about if they forget how to unlock the door to get in again.
My 1 and 4 year olds are now back in daycare, and on my first day back to the office this week they went into lockdown because of a shooting near daycare. Cue all the feelings.
More days than not I still WFH though, and I am echoing a lot on this list. I can workout (and shower after working out) at any time of the day. I stopped pumping a lot earlier than I could have if I were working, although DS has now weaned at 13m. No makeup. No lunch packing. No shoes less comfortable than Birkenstocks.
I don't have to coordinate the bus to the L and wonder if I'll actually get a seat or have to stand the entire way. I don't have to actually sit on the gross bus or L or wonder if a fight will happen during my commute. I don't have to smell the city. Although I do miss seeing it. I don't have to see my boss on a daily basis.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
The whole daily routine of up early, shower/makeup/hair/dressed for work, get kids ready, get everyone out the door and then deal with traffic. And then the drive home, picking everyone up, prepping for the next day, etc. That alone is at least three hours a day that I now use to work out, sleep more, and actually spend quality time with my family.
Constantly thinking ahead to the next day, week, month. Not having to figure out the logistics of activities, volunteer stuff, work travel, etc. and the daily stuff that has to get done around all of that has definitely let me live much more in the moment.
I don't have to worry that a bout of insomnia will wreck my entire day I never have to think about whether or not the kids have money in their school lunch accounts I don't have to check Family Link very often because DS 1 never uses his phone I haven't had to write a check in months because our dog walker and cleaning lady haven't needed them (though we are hiring a new cleaning lady soon)

It's okay if I don't take a shower in the morning (don't worry, I do shower some time during the day). I don't have to shave my legs every single day. I don't have to wear trousers or skirts, ever.

I got in the car the other day to go meet with a client and then had to return to the house because I thankfully remembered that the Birkenstocks on my feet were not appropriate for work.
I like not having to worry about a commute, my internship was going to be a 30-40 min drive each way. I also enjoy not having to dress up and I rarely blow dry my hair anymore which is good for it since I haven't had a cut since January and the ends are already raggedy enough without adding daily heat damage.
I don't have to think about what to take for snacks and lunches every day.
I don't stress about my stomach bothering me and wondering whether I should call out or not.
Best of all we've been able to relocate for the summer to Red Lodge, MT and now I'm pretty sure having the opportunity to work remotely for 3 months a year is going to be a negotiation point when I start looking for a job next year, lol.

Making up excuses to not have to go to things, or to see family who stresses me out, has been nice.
WFH has given me much better work/life balance. I don’t miss the time that I lost commuting. I don’t miss all the running around for the extra curricular things.

I don't have to worry about smelling like garlic I don't have to worry about having my house or garden company ready I don't have to worry about my appearance as frequently I don't have to worry about my natural deodorant holding up I don't have to worry about entertaining I don't have to worry about getting bus tickets I don't have a commute so I don't have to worry about being back home on time I don't have to worry about when to fit in exercise I don't have to feel guilty about leaving the kitties alone
Making it to work on time. Taking my lunch break to drive home and back to run errands or work in my yard. Driving to and trying to find an unfamiliar meeting place in the country or woods for a meeting (I now do Zoom meetings from the comfort of my own home).

Not planning. We can decide what to have for dinner at 3pm because we are both home to prep and cook. During the school year, with both of our commutes, picking up the kids, etc, everything has to be planned in advance so we don’t end up with takeout.

Making sure all of the uniforms are washed for the different sports. Coordinating carpools, making first and second dinner. Early AM wakeups to freeze on the ball field. Making sure I've packed enough water, sunscreen and snacks to last me thru multiple hours at the ball field.
This is only tangential to this discussion, but I've been thinking about boxing up all of my work clothes until I need them again. In my mind, this would be a way for me to find out what clothes I actually love and which ones I don't. If I'm excited when I pull a top out of the box, it's a keeper. If I'm like, "Huh, I didn't even remember owning this shirt [even though I've worn it several times]," then maybe it's not.

I don't have to worry if I took the chicken out of the freezer for dinner. I don't have to worry if I should go another 1,000 miles before getting an oil change. I don't have to worry if my Misfits Market box is sitting out in the sun for hours. I don't have to worry about my boss catching me dicking around on GBCN.
