I've had to start going to biweekly non-stress tests starting 2 weeks ago and I'm super annoyed about it.
I was diagnosed with gestational high BP even though I've got a solid case of white coat syndrome when it comes to having my BP taken- when I take my BP at home it's normal. Baby's growth has not been stunted at all and hasn't shown any abnormalities, plus all of my blood work is within normal parameters. I don't see why this is necessary.
I don't get *any* PTO for maternity leave. They'll use my banked vacation/personal time then the rest of it is unpaid- but I'm fucking draining my vacation/personal time with these NSTs that can only happen during my work hours, and they are always running behind. What should take 30 minutes in and out ends up being an almost 2 hour ordeal. I'm a few days shy of 34 weeks, I've got 5 more weeks of these until they want to induce me π

Ugh that is so frustrating! Iβm glad they are watching out for you and baby. My office has a doctor that runs late and are fine if you call ahead to see if thereβs a delay so you can come later. Any discussion of dismissing you?

Is there another place where you can go to do them? I did mine at the hospital and they had 7 am appointments. I also booked them all at once all the way through the end of the pregnancy so I could get my preferred time and day.

My blood pressure was down to 130/82...so there was no talk of induction and I didn't have to argue my case.
The back story to Thursday was I defended my dissertation proposal which went horribly and I was sobbing hard for the 2 hours leading up to my apppointment...they agree it was probably an off time.
