Looks like it's a race between four of us coming in the next 2 weeks, my due date being the latest...I'll be think of you girls! And I will stick around because I'm excited for all newcomers
My BP was highish again today 136/85 at midwife appt
Waiting on new BP cuff from Amazon, supposed to be here by 9 but that's on like 40 minutes
Still debating names...almost sure of Eric for boy, I set up a girls name poll on married life
I'm solo right now and watching notebook on Netflix
9w today. Too early to know, Ramzi theory came back as girl. I caved and ordered the sneak peek test today.
2. Rants raves questions
I have abso-fucking-lutely zero motivation. MIL took DS for 3 days this weekend and I did almost nothing but nap or laze on the couch. The fact that I even managed to shower myself, empty the dishwasher a few times, and fold some laundry is basically a miracle. I’m so busy at work right now so I literally want to do nothing at home. I’m off W-F this week and am looking forward to that.
OB called with the ultrasound details and baby was measuring right on track with a heartbeat of 178! Hooray!
Question - are there any plus size women here who’ve had success with a home Doppler? I didn’t use one with DS but PGAL is making me want one. I am already apple-shaped so I don’t want to not be able to find the heartbeat because of that and lose my mind.
3. GTKY what do you do when you have a few hours to yourself?
Normally? Errands, get my nails done, bake, read, catch up on Netflix. Lately? Lay on the couch and nap.

1. 38w2d 2. Still here still pregnant. My sciatic nerve is grumpy. It’s the hard final stage! The full moon and hurricane did nothing for me. I saw a dr at 36w who was all OMG YOURE HAVING A BABY SOON! The midwife I saw at 37 weeks was like meh you’re headed in the right direction. I have an appointment tomorrow. 4 yo DD knows it’s August and keeps asking when the baby will be here. 3. I like to craft but often find when I’m alone i don’t have the energy to do it.

26+2, team blue
I’m mostly just starting to get really uncomfortable. I was pregnant in the fall/winter with DD (she’s a late March baby) and I was never this hot. I’m not swelling, but I’m just so creaky and always warm. I usually run super cold because of my heart medication (like I’ve been known to sleep with extra blankets in the summer because AC is too cold for me), but I’ve been sleeping without any blankets in a tank top. I’ve got 89 days left until our scheduled csection, which seems like no time at all.
I miss being able to just putz around target with an iced tea from Starbucks, because that was my favorite alone thing to do!
2. I think we have agreement on a name, which is awesome since we didn't decide for sure with DD until she was born. We also have plans to start DD's new room and make over her current room into the nursery in a few weeks. My sweet neighbor is giving us a crib for the new baby so DD can stay in her, hopefully for a long long time to come!
3. I feel like I only have alone time with DD is sleeping and then I just waste it all laying on the couch reading or watching TV. I'll do some baking this weekend and usually DH makes sure I get some time on the weekends to sleep in, take a bath, go shopping and have some time to myself. I just am so tired I don't feel like doing anything!

1. How far along and team 14+3, boy
2. Rants raves questions I'm having some trouble getting excited, which I think is related to all this ::waves arms wildly around:: going on in the world. It'll come, I'm sure, though. I had an appt today and everything sounded good, which was comforting. We posted our announcement on social media, so that was fun -- especially seeing how many people were excited for us to be adding another kiddo to the mix here. (I think I attached the announcement right here to share, and hopefully it's not massive.)
3. GTKY what do you do when you have a few hours to yourself? These days, I sleep. I watch random things on Netflix -- just finished Queen of the South and am looking for new recommendations! I also play Fortnite some.
achi -- I share in your zero motivation, ha. All I want to do is lay around right now.
tacoflavoredkisses -- Being pregnant in the summer is so tough. DS1 was born in October and I would have sworn it was impossible to feel so hot all the time. Just try to embrace the A/C as much as you can.
corgimom -- I'm so jealous you guys already have a name narrowed down, lol!

achi -- Same, completely. On days when I'm working from home, I basically live on my bed unless I'm in video meetings lol.
jennistarr1 -- Oh thanks! Lol. The pair of them are such hams. And I get what you mean about it being weird. Like, everything is on fire and I kind of just want to hide lol. If my DH hadn't pushed for us to do it yesterday, I can imagine I would have waited a while longer too (for a number of reasons).

1. How far along and team 35w3d, team pink
2. Rants raves questions Rant- I'm ready to have all my digestive space back. Im at the point where literally everything gives me reflux/heartburn and it's making eating miserable.
3. GTKY what do you do when you have a few hours to yourself? Real talk, I haven't actually had a few consecutive hours of "alone time" since early March when the pandemic lockdown started. My husband works from home 100%, I go into the office a few days a week. The longest I get is 20-25 minutes in the car during my commute, during which time I listen to music obnoxiously loudly, and turn the AC as.low as it'll go.
Not yet, so far monitoring scheduled Friday morning...but my Blood pressure was even higher last night. I'm pretty scared. Good movement from baby so that is reassuring

2. Rants raves questions Nothing really, just waiting. I’m somewhere between 1-2 cm with a “favorable” cervix. Tons of BH contractions, some that even turn slightly painful, but nothing consistent. I have a growth scan scheduled at the end of next week if I make it that far, due to my measurements being a bit small (measured just shy of 36 at 38.5 wks) and me not having gained any weight in the last month. My measurements ARE going up week to week though, so he is growing. They think in all likelihood it’s his positioning and that I just grow smaller babies. (Dd was 7lb 1oz at a week overdue) but they are just checking to be sure.
3. GTKY what do you do when you have a few hours to yourself? It used to be something like go for a run, enjoy a long shower, etc. At the moment it’s probably binge watching something and taking a nap. LOL
During nst ...I felt like baby's heart range really changed during contractions....super quiet as it came on and then as it was releasing it was super loud. But they said baby looks perfect!
My blood pressure was super normal, 121/76
I got home and it was 142/89
So I think the best I can interpret there is this machine may measure high so I might need a higher threshold before I get scared
Ugh... PGAL strikes again. Someone on my WTE app month board had a complete miscarriage and posted a picture of it in a random thread with no trigger warning. You could see everything. It sent me spiralling into a full blown anxiety attack.
Thankfully my midwife was super understanding and ordered an ultrasound for peace of mind. Baby was just fine and wiggling all around. Definitely looks more like a baby instead of a blob now. It’s amazing how much changes in a week and a half!

I’m so glad you got some reassurance and your baby is doing well! This stuff gutted me all the way through first trimester and well into second. And now the due date baby group I’m in has had a couple of stillbirths and although I havent had one myself it triggers all my other loss trauma and sends me into a spiral. It’s a lot easier later on when you can feel the baby moving around though. Definitely preferable to first trimester.
