I try to flat iron my hair but try to get a "curl" at the end and I don't want to have out the flat iron and the curling iron. I got enough crap on my counter tops!
I like Invisibobble hair ties. They sell them at Ulta and possibly other places. I have long, thick/heavy hair and it holds my hair in place. I don't get a dent unless my hair ends up damp from either working out or the weather. They also don't tangle or snag my hair, so no damage.
I have the Dyson Airwrap and love the smoothing brush for thick/coarse hair. I blow dry it until damp and then it takes me about 20 mins to straighten with the brush (so total of about 30 mins on my hair). My hair has some wave to it naturally. I lack hair skills, so I'm happy to find something that works.
texasharleygirl, have you tried to do curls with your flat iron? I find those hold the best for my hair. Took some practice and youtube, but I'm pretty good at it now.

Do you have the original or thin? I'm debating which ones to order...:-)

I have both the original and the slim, but I find that the original holds my hair better. If your hair isn't as thick/heavy as mine, I'm sure the slim would work fine. I use the original when I work out. If I'm just sitting at home I can use the slim without an issue.
I have been debating about buying the magnetic lashes. I think called moxie.
I tried the Revel nails twice now. It really takes a learning curve and I haven't loved it yet. Also the first step bottle was so cheap and the brush keeps disconnected and seriously gets everywhere. I bought a off brand on Amazon to compare.
I’d contact Revel about the first bottle. This sounds like mistake. I really like the Revel nails, except I can’t get them to stay on for more than a week. After a week, they start to peel at the cuticles.

I have tried a couple of times and it comes out rather wonky LOL. But then I am just not that adept with the iron as I never really flat ironed it before this year. (I blame my mother! She made me keep my hair short when growing up! I never had to Flat Iron! ) It's a learning process and I will have to check out some youtube videos today and see what I can find. Thanks for the suggestion.
I seriously had no idea that magnetic lashes worked by you painting a magnetic liquid onto your skin. Is that even safe???
I’m reading The Poisoner’s Handbook, and I’m on the chapter about radium, and how people used to sell radium water to make your body youthful, radium lotion to make your skin glow, etc. which seems super crazy now, but perhaps in 100 years we we will be like, OMG! Cell phones by your face?? Magnetic lashes?? What were they thinking??
I like the Revlon brush too! I usually dry my hair about 75% with the regular blow dryer and finish with the Revlon. I did see a TikTok from a hairstylist that said the more frizzy your hair is the more wet it should be when you start using the brush. My hair is pretty normal so I don't have that issue but I thought that was interesting.

I haven't read any responses, but I have the Pony-O and I like it mostly. I have thin/fine hair and it does the job to keep my ponytail tight and in place, but it does come out/slip out after a while. I do like that it is less likely to leave a dent in my hair after wearing it. It's great for DD's hair as she has long thin/fine hair and it works to keep it up for her. I also like the bun-maker thing they make too.
How would this work though? If they clipped together, could you open your eye?? Lol
Like one went on top of your top lashes and one under your top lashes.
This is also how I thought they worked. Somehow I feel better about this option than I do about magnetic paint. Does anyone have a pair to recommend that's like this.
It’s the one I’m talking about. I’ve seen it closer to $30, but it’s well worth the $40. Like I said I keep an extra new in the box in case mine dies. It’s the best hair thing I’ve ever owned and I bought the Dyson $400 hairdryer when it came out and this is 1000000000x better.
I have a Dyson airstyler and the Revlon blow dryer brush, and I prefer the Revlon one. I have long fine hair that dries quickly so the Dyson works for me, but the Revlon just does a better job. If your hair is think or long definitely go Revlon
starburst604 when did she get so grown up?! Your DD looks so sweet.
Does anyone have air pod knock offs they recommend? Are they ok for stuff like Zoom?
My DH got me TOZO ear buds for Mother's Day and I like them. They are touch-sensitive and work pretty well IMO, but I've never used Apple ear buds so no comparison.

Oh here I am thinking you’re clipping the tops lashes to the bottom lashes.

The two part ones are almost impossible to apply correctly. The magnets attach before you can get them placed close enough to your eyelid, and the two layers together is a lot of lashes.
I bought the kind with the eyeliner, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.

I mean, I'm already on the side that brushing magnetic liquid on your eyelids sounds like a terrible idea and a good way to get cancer.
I think there's research that cell phones probably aren't all that great for us to have by our heads all the time either.

I’ve used Ardell and they’re terrible. They can’t loosen up and bend the right way, and always connect to each other before you can properly place them. I’ve asked people at ultra about other brands and they always say they all suck. But nicer haha.

Eh, I'm not so worried about the cell phone thing since no one uses them to actually talk anymore, it all just texting and apps.

F/U: I used it this morning - holy volume, Batman! Like, va-va-va-voom! I'm not used to my hair being this bouncy or lifted. LOL It does highlight the fact that I desperately need a haircut so it will lay nicer, but wow. I'm super impressed. It took me roughly 30 minutes start-to-finish, but I figure I'll get better at it once I do it more. It's a different look than flat ironed for sure, but I could get used to it.
I now need to know if anyone has tried NailBoo. Or any other at-home nail dip kits. Please and thank you.
I’ve been using iGel and love it. The pictures on the website aren’t great, but there’s a couple iGel specific FB groups that you can search colors and see them. I love doing dip now!
