FYI You can now turn Southwest credit into points

They just released the feature this week, and I think you have until mid-December to make the decision. I went ahead and did it because we're not going anywhere between now and then and the points won't expire. Plus, with points, we can all travel together whereas with credit in my name I end up on my own itinerary. 

You just go into your account and any credits you have tied to your account that are eligible will have a button to turn them into points. I got more points than I thought I would, so overall I'm happy with the result.

I did mine. I rarely travel alone so it was very appealing to me to have that credit back in a currency that would allow me to travel on one itinerary with my family, which a cash credit won't.

I converted my smaller credit amounts into points last week - super easy and it was nice to see my point total go up to a pretty nice balance. I may convert my other two credits but I haven't decided yet.
