I'm really happy that I made a plan at the beginning of the month and stuck with it 100%. I'm training for a virtual half marathon in early November (the Happy Girls Run) so my mileage will tick up quite a bit in October. I'm also hoping to take some longer bike rides for pleasure vs. public transport avoidance.
Ran 42.8 mi (including a virtual half marathon), swam 116 laps, walked 6.5 mi, hiked 3.7 mi, biked 4 mi, yoga 15x, and I spent three hours on a tree climbing course with my kids once.
I was hoping for a streak and to drop a few pounds... It wound up being 28/30 days of at least some type of activity. My weight didn’t change, but it’s in a range I’m generally okay with, and I didn’t put the effort in I would need to, to see a drop, so... shrug. Plan is to just keep moving in October, whatever that looks like, within the confines I have (virtual learning and my husband being in the office have definitely impacted what I’ve done).

Cycling (all forms): 430 miles Yoga: Couple of practices
I don't have any goals for October although we actually have the Cyclocross (biking) state championships scheduled now. We'd cancelled the fall series, but a couple of races are popping up independently.

Running: 165.4 miles
Cycling is indoors and I’d need to check my bike for the estimated mileage, but I’m aiming for 3-4 days/week
Strength: 16 hours
Yoga: This is where I slacked. I only did yoga twice. Ideally, I’d do 10 minutes a day and 1-2 longer sessions each week. I want to do more in October (I say that every month).
My goal was to finish up the remaining homework for my yoga certificate by the end of the month. I did not succeed. Ha. End of this week is my new target.
Now that the yoga course is (almost) over i need some new goals for the next couple months. I’m thinking:
- Get running back up to 20-25 miles/week - Handstand press
September was not anything impressive -- I've actually already done more in the first week of October, lol -- but it was a start, and now I'm on the wagon. Sometimes that is the hardest part.
31 miles cycling 3.5 miles run or walk 2 - first two days of NROLFW stage 1 (last week)
I'm mostly doing indoor & outdoor cycling and NROLFW right now. My hope is that when my core gets stronger I'll be able to go back to running without the hip pain I ran into this spring.
