What did you read in the month of Sept? Ratings, reviews etc. If you're still trying to reach a goal how are you doing with that? Feel free to add other items too.
I went ahead and read Miracle Creek when it came off hold. I will hold my review until next month! I Am Not Your Negro - 4.5* Death on Tuckernuck - 3* The Vanishing Half - 4*
I've read 42 books this year. I didn't have a goal, and I don't think I'll read this much again. I've had a lot more free time since all of the family's activities were cancelled for 6+ months.

I read
This is how it always is 5*'s - please read this book, it's amazing!! The Cactus - 2.5*'s - nothing like the Hello Sunshine preview and TW for those who grew up with alcohol addiction
I think that puts me at 16/24 for the year. I have 2 going and hope to get through 3 or 4 in Oct.

I had a really slow reading month with school starting. It fried my brain and I couldn't get into anything.
Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore 4* You Should See Me In a Crown by Leah Johnson 3* They Coyotes of Carthage by Steven Wright 2* - If I was reading this in paper, I probably would have thrown it across the room. The Betrothed by Kieran Cass 3*
ETA: I'm at 64/52 for the year. And I with my last book, I've officially read more pages in a year than I've read since I started keeping track in 2011.
Happy and You Know It by Laura Hankin 3.5* Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia 4* The End of Her by Shari Lapena 3.5* The Dilemma by B.A. Paris 3.5* Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson 5* Luster by Raven Leilani 3.5* The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi 4* Children of the Land by Marcelo Hernandez Castillo 5* Cantoras by Caroline De Robertis 5* Wandering in Strange Lands: A Daughter of the Great Migration Reclaims Her Roots by Morgan Jerkins 3-3.5*
I'm at 94/120. I recently increased my goal from 100 to 120. I think I'll end up hitting 125. This'll be the most books I've ever read in a year. I feel highly motivated by super readers like tacokick
On the Come Up by Angie Thomas - 4* Devolution: A Firsthand Account of the Rainier Sasquatch Massacre by Max Brooks - 4.5* The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis - 3* Home Before Dark by Riley Sager - 4*
Reread: Fall Into Darkness by Christopher Pike
I am about 5 books over but several were short so I am just going to leave it alone. I've never tried to track pages but may look into it.

Anna K: A Love Story by Jenny Lee 4* Star-Crossed by Minnie Darke 3* The Good Luck Charm by Helena Hunting 3.5* This Time Will be Different by Misa Sugiura 4* Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory 4* Meet Cute by Helena Hunting 3.5* Would Like to meet by Rachel Winters 4* Tokyo Ueno Station by Miri Yu 3.5* Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli 4*
I'm at 68/52 for the year. I think this is the most I've read in a while!
5* The Light in Hidden Places by Sharon Cameron- I felt this was a very well written YA book on the Holocaust.
4* Code Name Helene by Ariel Lawhon
3* From Scratch by Tembi Locke
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman- I liked the book but it didn't reach my expectations. I have high expectations for Backman and this just wasn't as good as his previous books, in my opinion. It was disappointing because I had expected to love it.
1* George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl. Read this with my son. My son and I both hated this book. I've realized that I see his books completely different as an adult than I did as a child.

Y'all really encourage me to read more! Vespasia, good reads has a feature to check pages read instead of number of books under your year to year stats. I can try to screen shot later, but it's right at the top. My only gripe is their numbers don't always match what I have in hand, like my book may say 300, they say 315.
Vespasia, I love that you are re-reading Christopher Pike books. I may do the same. Remember Me continues to be one of my all time favorites.
September was a pretty crappy reading month for me. I'm not sure if it was just me or what I was reading or what but nothing was very memorable.
Happy and You Know It--3.5 stars. I enjoyed it more than I should have. Thick as Thieves-3*. It was an easy page turner but I don't remember the story at all anymore. Party of Two-3.5*. Not great writing but cute story.
DNF-Transcendent Kingdom. I tried to read it for nearly two weeks and never made it past the first quarter. Her writing is spectacular but I just found the story so boring. Homegoing was fantastic so I was disappointed to feel this way.
I'm remembering to update this thread! I just quit my full time job in June and have read 41 books this year mostly since then; I belatedly gave myself a goal of 52 but it looks like I'll surpass that. I'm happy to be getting back into reading!
Sept: The Heir Affair - Heather Cocks 3* (sequel to Royal We, way too long) Sex and Vanity - Kevin Kwan 3* (Crazy Rich Asians author but not as fun as the first series) The Vanishing Half- Brit Bennett 5* (one of my favorites this year) City of Girls - Elizabeth Gilbert 4* The Indigo Girl - Natasha Boyd 4* (set in my hometown of Charleston in colonial times, maybe 4.5*) Beach Read - Emily Henry 3* 28 Summers - Elin Hilderbrand 5* (this is what I wanted from Beach Read) Where the Crawdads Sing - Delia Owens - 4*
