This is our second bathroom, which we pretty much only use for bathing the dogs. We had decided not to bother with it since our house needs so much other work. Well, now it has water damage so we will at least have to paint it. What colors would go well with the gray tile? Any other suggestions to spruce it up? I don’t want to spend much money or alter the tile, but otherwise I’m open to pretty much anything. (I’m definitely going to replace the shutters with a shade when I get around to it.)
Here’s a close-up of the tile. The floor is the same but with black accents.
I think a nice, light paint color will help immensely. That yellow isn’t doing the space any favors. It’s needs an airy pastel-y color
Is there a random cabinet on the wall facing the toilet? That seems like it would detract from the space. Do you actually need the extra storage if the room is barely used? I’d replace it with a photo/painting.
Other than those two things and needing a nice shower curtain and towels which soften things up, I don’t think the space is that bad. Just needs a little sprucing.

I did a very small bathroom (walls and ceiling) in Benjamin Moore Thunderbird. It has white tile, but a similar floor. The first pic is more accurate to how it looks in natural light; second pic is at night but shows the floor.
I was going to suggest a teal like the photos above. I think a pastel is too light with that tile. My ds has SW Splashy in his bathroom -- that is very bright and dark teal. I like the toned down one above.
I think pale blue or blue gray or gray would be nice (I lean towards gray for a more monochromatic/simple look). I would also consider painting the mirror frame black, esp if you go w/stone gray walls. I did a similar reno in our rental 10 yrs ago (painted the wall cabinet black too), looked great!
It doesn't look horrible in the photos you posted (but my guest bathroom that I just created a thread about is incredibly dated). It could just be the lighting but the outlet plate next to the window looks off white, I'd replace it with a white plate to better match the tile.
We seem to have the same floor, mirror, and light fixture. We just painted SW Silver Peony (previous owners had gray & yellow striped) and is massively lighter now.

Every outlet and light switch in our house is almond or whatever you call that color We're replacing them as we update each room and it's a chore.
I know the bathroom itself isn't terrible but I haaate the tile. It reminds me of my high school's locker room.
