I was previously Fl-26. Dem Incumbent Debbie Murcasel-Powell is in a very very tight race with Carlos Gimenez who is currently Mayor of Miami-Dade County. He actually endorsed Hillary in 2016, but has since gotten close to Trump and is endorsed by him.
We won this seat From Carlos Curbelo (R) but it is in danger of flipping back to the Rs.
I am now in Fl-27. Dem Incumbent Donna Shalala is also in a tight race with Maria Elvira Salazar who is a well known former news anchor for Telemundo.
I am sad I won't be able to support Debbie Murcasel-Powell, because I think that race will be a lot tougher.
I’m worried about Lauren Underwood. She’s in the district next to ours and apparently it’s a tossup.
I adore Lauren (hi neighbor district). She is so thoughtful, responds so well to people and just a great overall person. When she answers a question, I feel like she has reasons for what she does but is still willing to listen. We need tons of people like her and her staff. I feel like Rs are really pushing this district as the district did flip from R to D last time and they think they can get it back.
I have not really seen anything pro-Oberweis (even signs), only anti-Lauren. He's a regular running for whatever office strikes his fancy and loses well most of the time (state house, state senate [his job now], this is like his third time running for congress having lost in the primaries before and also US Senate and Governor). I feel like he wants to be important, not actually serve the people in his office and I really hope he doesn't win.
NH-2. Somewhat competitive with incumbent Annie Kuster (D) and Steve Negron. I see more Negron signs, but I’m also somewhat rural. I’ve been volunteering to keep my state Senator in office, a much tighter race. I think Kuster will win.
Neighboring district where I used to live and where ILs currently live is more interesting. NY-1, Lee Zeldin is the incumbent and an awful Trump sycophant. Challenger is Dr. Nancy Goroff, former chair of the chemistry department at Stony Brook University. She's worked on green energy for like 30 years. It's a dead heat and I've done some postcards, texting, and donated a bunch. I'm dying for her to win.
Friends at Stony Brook rave about her. I've been texting for her too.
I'm in a very safe Dem district, so much so that part of me is debating voting for the independent challenger "NJ Weedman" (legalizing weed is on the ballot in NJ). I won't, but I do think it's funny.

Hi fellow district neighbor. I adore Lauren too. I voted for her last time and was so excited when she won. I haven't seen much pro-Oberweis either. He annoys me that he runs for anything under the sun, hoping something will stick.
I doubt mine is competitive, but my neighboring district is the Betsy Dirksen Londrigan/Rodney Davis race. She almost knocked him out last time, and I really hope she can do it this time. If Davis goes down, I feel like my district's rep - another Trump yes man LaHood - will be next. Please, please, please.
I am LaHood as well. Unfortunately, his challenger joined super late and has hardly done any campaigning, so of course he won't even come close to beating him. We need a really good candidate to run against LaHood next cycle.

D- Joe Cunningham/R-Nancy Mace 1st SC. Cunningham flipped the seat for the first time in like 40 years in 2018. She’s basically a climate denier who lives on the coast, and the house passed his bill on off shore drilling, so that’s where we’re at. But hopeful, of course.
CA-50. You may remember us by our former Congressman, convicted criminal and professional bottom-feeder Duncan Hunter. Now it’s dreamy/decent human being Ammar Campa-Najjar versus power-hungry has-been Darrell Issa.
The race is surprisingly competitive, our district is historically very conservative but has been moving more to the left since 2016. The race is basically tied right now. I think Issa was up by one percentage point in a poll last week.
Lol. I’d like you to narrate and editorialize on all of the candidates please!
UT-4th. We are a highly competitive district and our Representative, Ben McAdams, is the only Democrat representing Utah in the House or the Senate. Salt Lake City is a pretty liberal place, but these districts are so gerrymandered that he might lose his seat to a Q-Anon crackpot who used to play in the NFL and has done some super shady things with a charity he supposedly runs that has done no charity work and has paid him and his family $$$.
My district too! I've been making calls & texting for Ben
NY-26, not competitive at all. It's a very blue district so the incumbent Brian Higgins should win easily. I haven't seen anything from his opponent
Close by is the very gerrymandered NY27, formerly held by Trump sycophant, Chris Collins. He was arrested for insider trading and still somehow got reelected in 2018, but then eventually resigned in 2019.
The R person that replaced him won a special election during the summer and is running against the same person this time. I'm sure he will win again unfortunately

Hi neighbor! Joe has done an excellent job of looking out for the interests of SC-1. Fingers crossed voters recognize that. I don't think Mace realizes that her Citadel alum network might actually work against her. Too many of them didn't want her there in the first place.

I'm in FL-4. Our current rep is a Republican who's only been in office for 2 terms (elected in 2016). He was previously the sheriff of Jacksonville. He's worthless. I was SO excited about our Democrat candidate, but the polls I've seen show that she's behind by 20 points. I'm hopeful that she'll maybe be willing to run again even if she loses this time. Her name is Donna Deegan, and she's hugely popular here. She's a former local news anchor, and she started and runs a really popular marathon here called the Donna Marathon that raises money for breast cancer (she's a 3 time breast cancer survivor). People here really seem to like her, so I was hoping that popularity would carry over to the polls. The candidates had a debate last night, and she was amazing. Maybe the polls are wrong.

I thought Lauren was solid I'm in the 6th, it's supposed to be solid blue and it better be considering it's a Scientist vs a crazy Trumper. If I get Ives back as a rep I will cry. She was awful as a state rep.
It is, I think, the only historical Republican district in the South? It has been a Republican held seat since the Civil War. It was Howard Baker's seat (father to TN Senator Howard Baker, Jr of What did the president know and when did he know it fame). From 1965 until 2018 it was held by the Duncan family, first the dad, then his son. Jimmy finally retired in 2018. Replaced by former Knox County mayor and all around dipshit, Tim Burchett. In 2018, Renee Hoyos ran against him and she's EXCELLENT. Truly excellent. He won easily, and she's running against him again. I think there's more support for her this time, but the race is unlikely to be close. She's outraised him but people think an R behind your name makes you qualified for everything I guess! He is basically a twitter troll and pretends to be a good ol boy wearing carhart jackets or something. I don't even know, but he's an idiot who fucked the county over time and again.
You all know the shitshow in 2018 when the PA Supreme Court said the state had to get rid of the gerrymandering and redrew the map. So most of my county (Montgomery) is now in PA-4, with some of it in PA-1 (Bucks County, mostly). The Dem, Madeleine Dean, won a first term easily in 2018. I don't see too many signs for her, but she's projected to win pretty easily. MontCo has about 300k registered Democrats to 200k Republicans. I do see a lot of signs for her opponent though, Kathy Barnette. The gOP thinks that Kathy Barnette, a black, Republican woman, should appeal to people who support BLM or something because it would be racist to not vote for a black woman or something. Such illogical thinking. Barnette doesn't even support BLM. Anyway, I almost always see her signs accompanied by Trump signs, and I'm assuming almost all Biden supporters, of which there appear to be PLENTY in my area, will vote for Dean.
My parents are in NY-21. They're represented by Elise Stefanik who is in her 3rd term, I think. My parents absolutely plan to vote for her, they love her, they think she's an independent thinker, but she's been living up Trump's ass since she got some (bad) national recognition during the impeachment hearings and since she doesn't want to be primaried from the right. I'm REALLY not sure my parents will vote for Trump (supposedly neither my mom nor my dad did in 2016), but they will 100% vote for her and I think it's pretty safe R. NY-21 is the largest district, land-wise, in NY I think. The Dem running against her, Tedra Cobb, also ran in 2018.
MD-7, formerly represented by Elijah Cummings. The person who replaced him, Kweisi Mfume, actually held the seat prior to him as well.
His opponent has gotten some coverage because she is a young Black woman who loves Trump but she has no chance in hell of winning. 538 expects him to win by 20 points minimum.
We’ve gotten a lot of lit in the mail from her— it’s interesting—nowhere on it does it mention she’s running as an R.

Maxine Waters is our Congresswoman; as there is not much going on with our race I’ll share an anecdote instead. In my previous job I used to take the same LAX-DCA flight early Monday mornings as a bunch of House members, including Rep. Waters. She knew all of the flight attendants by name and was just the nicest and most gracious to everyone—- once when I happened to be in the aisle just after she sat down I said thank you for all the work she was doing on our behalf and she just beamed and blew me a two handed kiss.

I freaking hate Charlie Crist. I’ve hated him since he was our education commissioner. But the damn idiot, after switching parties two times, is running against a Trump wanna be....so. Yeah. Anna Luna is crazy, so Charlie it is.
Funny story, I’ did my high school Poly Sci final project on how Charlie was a moron. I wish I still had it.
NJ-5, Gottheimer. We flipped the district blue in 2018. But Gottheimer sucks. I assume he's safe? I havent seen anything for his competitor. I was redistricted into this formerly red district (from a much bluer one) not that long ago.
I'm in the very red part and there are a million Pallotta signs up here, more than Trump signs. I won't be surprised if Gottheimer loses. He's not left enough for Dems, but he's still a Democrat, so a ton of people up here hate him.

It's weird. I have seen a bunch of Biden signs, which is surprising because in 2016, I didn't see ONE HRC sign. Literally, not one. People on my local FB are also complaining about "city" people moving up here and "bringing their city politics with them." 🙄🙄 There's definitely more support for Dems than I have previously seen, which is awesome.
But we also hosted that unapproved Trump rally a few days ago, so who knows.

It's disappointing that Cobb isn't doing well. Doesn't Stefanik not even live there? UGH

She's on the very edge of the district - I think Saratoga springs. which is way wealthier than most of the places she represents. But when she was first elected she had made her parents' vacation house into her permanent residence so she could run.
