I just started using myfitnesspal again. I used it several years ago and it helped me lose about 20 pounds. Now I've gained all that back, so I'm trying again. I'm still at the point where I feel constantly hungry, so I'm not sure it's going to last! It's generally pretty easy to use, but it can be a pain if you have to enter all the ingredients for something.
I do, via My Fitness Pal and a Fitbit, which I do not have linked. I use the formula of BW x 12 to get the daily calorie allowance needed to lose weight (assumes workouts 4-5 days/week). I also use a calendar to track my consistency in sticking to my daily calorie and protein goals, aiming for 80% consistency. I have a lot of room for improvement in this area.
I’ve used MyFitnesspal and liked it for tracking. I calculated my calorie goal with a TDEE calculator bc I found mfp set it way too low.
Pretty easy to use and I liked that I could set macro goals too (e.g., 30% protein 30% carbs 40% fat). It’s also easy to create “recipes” for stuff you eat a lot so you can add it super fast.
I don’t currently track food bc it’s triggering for me.
