I did my first lit drop today locally (western PA)- focusing on early voting education. I'm scheduled for another shift tomorrow but I don't know when I will be able to go after that because of my work schedule.
Earlier in election season I did postcards for a local race and text banking. Lately I've been having trouble getting text assignments- they drop an hour before I get home from work and are gone by the time I can log in.

Does anyone know of ways Americans living outside the US can help? I've tried contacting our local Democrats Abroad group, but I never heard back, and they aren't having meetings I can just show up to because of Covid. I've finally badgered every one of my American expat friends into voting, and now I'm at a loss for ideas.
I guess i am calling voters in Iowa next weekend! Someone from Utah called me today, thinking I lived in Iowa ( i used to) and convinced me i could help from out of state. We are busy this weekend, but I will call the weekend before the election.
I hate making calls, but since I didn't end up being selected to be an election judge, this seems like at least doing something. I do have an Iowa phone number and a Midwestern personality, so hopefully I'm a good person to volunteer from out of state.

I've seen a few people in the texting slacks (national and Texas) that don't live in the states. I'm just not sure how the hours will line up with your time zone/schedule.

Yeah, I'm in a terrible time zone for calling or texting. And of course by the time I found a reasonable workaround for sending postcards, it was way too late (mail takes a really long time to get from here to there). Thanks for the suggestion, though. I'm just frustrated hearing so many of my friends doing the things mentioned in this thread and not being able to help out. I'll probably just keep rage-donating to local and state races every time I get angry at a GOP lawmaker. It's an imperfect system, but it's something.
props to the postcard writers, my handwriting is horrrrrible. I helped with the stamping and labeling of 4000 postcards though, haha.
It is fun to do and I bought a lot of funky stickers...but man my hand hurts and my arthritis isn’t helping.
I also am slightly irritated that there are like 4 campaigns that were added in the last 48 hours and wish they had reached out to be added sooner rather than last minute, especially with so many people who’ve already voted.

OK I signed up for a text training on Sat. and then I'll start texting Texas Dems. I also have to drop some lit in my own precinct, phone bank locally to chase mail-in ballots, and I might poll watch on Election Day. It's going to be a busy 12 days.

I did my first text banking for Ohio Dems last weekend and I’m doing another shift this coming weekend. It was WAY easier than I expected and I will definitely do it again in the future.

Texting & calling for Ben McAdams (only Democratic rep in Utah), lit drops for state house candidate, 15-20 hours/week on unspecified (identifiable) specialized volunteer role & voter protection/assistance related to that. I'll be able to say I've done absolutely everything I can for this election, but sure am glad there's less than 2 weeks left /tired
I wrote some postcards and have a 100-pack coming from Etsy to do more next week. I'm interested in texting. I've done the training and the Slack stuff, so maybe I can do it tonight or next week.

Just sent out my first batch of texts, asking people to volunteer to phone bank this weekend!

I went to a friend’s outdoor postcard writing party for senators in swing states. I took some home and may go back for more this week. It feels good to funnel my anxious energy into doing something positive.

I texted for the first time today and it’s addicting! They ran out of texts around 6 PM. They said they sent over a million today and broke a record! I’m excited to do it again tomorrow.
