Another sign anecdote - we were the only house in our neighborhood and neighboring area to have an HRC sign.
This year, there are so many Harris/Biden signs, the neighboring subdivision's HOA has been activated to discuss political signage in yards
I understand the need to protect yourself and "pre-despair," but I sincerely hope all the worry will have been for nothing and they will sail on to victory, along with the down ballot.
regarding signs, there are a lot more signs for Biden than there ever were for Hillary. I've been truly shocked at some of the places I've seen signs pop up. We also have caravans almost weekly here, which is something I have never seen before for a Dem. You definitely still see Trump signs and flags everywhere. but that there is a counter to that, is what is shocking to me and something I hadn't seen before.
I don’t recall any signs in my neighborhood in 2016, but I had just moved here then and my neighborhood goes hard on Halloween decorations so I may have not noticed. I live in a blue county but a fairly old area that has a lot of stay off my lawn types.
This year there are signs EVERYWHERE! I’d say 75% Biden, which surprises the hell out of me!
Several neighbors have homemade signs. One has “HE LIES” in Christmas lights on her fence lit day and night. Another has homemade RBG signs. I saw a Trump pumpkin that said something about hoping he gets destroyed just like the pumpkin will and says “squirrel buffet” lol.
In addition there’s a bunch of BLM, No on 115 (anti abortion amendment), rainbow flags, and several of @@@@@elijah McClain playing his violin. Then a few WuTang Forever, Dogs 2020, Any Functioning Adult, etc.
This all makes me immensely happy when we go on our walks!
There are a few Trump signs but they’re smaller in most cases, and none are homemade.

This is what I’m holding on to. I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but this feels different than 2016. I was in the PA suburbs for that and while I sincerely thought she would win (because how could she not??) the signs and displays were really worrisome, as was how many people I knew who were reluctantly voting for her. There was a lot of “voting your conscience” going around and shaming people if you tried to point out that third party wasn’t a viable option- this time there’s none of that. It’s “holy shit get this guy the fuck outta here, everyone vote like your hair is on fire.” It feels like the dems are more organized, more cohesive, and more fired up- adding that to how narrowly he won the swing states in 2016? I think there’s a good chance we can pull this off.

This isn't exactly election related, but it was an interesting read, about how Trump is really quite boring because there's no depth or surprise with him as he's predictably terrible in the same exact ways. Also, there's a lot about how it's affected art and the precedent with USSR in 70s and 80s.

I'm in the northern suburbs. I remember going into NW Philly a week or two before the election and thinking, "Oh THAT's where all the Hillary signs are." This year there are so, so, so many Biden signs out in Montco. Maybe a dozen Trump houses in my borough and like HUNDREDS of Biden signs.

In 2016 my neighborhood was full of Trump signs and almost no HRC, the area is usually very red. I see a few Trump here and there but SO many more Biden signs. I'm in the PA suburbs so I'm desperately hoping there is enough Biden support across the state to swing us blue.
H and I voted early in person yesterday and there were a ton of people either dropping off their ballots, registering, or voting. Everyone was masked and respectful of distancing, I'm hoping that means it was a very Biden-voting heavy crowd!

Same here. My neighborhood is very vocally pro-Biden this time around, which I expected. But I teach in Montco and there are so many Biden signs in Jenkintown and Abington...areas where I did not see a lot of Hillary signs and are reasonably conservative. It's nice to drive through every morning
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
17k people! voted in the first 2 days of advance voting here! And over 20k mail in ballots were taken in too. They are emptying the drop boxes twice a day and one was totally full yesterday!
If I already shared that I apologize but I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT ALL THE VOTING AND THIS EXCITEMENT HAS TO CARRY ME THROUGH THE LAST 2 WEEKS!

Well I am envious of you Who live where Biden signs have proliferated. A friend of a friend had an enormous wooden Biden sign in his yard and found it down and cracked. We had a huge storm and I was hoping it might be that (took down some of my Halloween decorations) but he also found a bunch of roofer nails in his driveway so thinking maybe not he put it up again surrounded by barbed wire!
On a positive sign, I went out to a park and saw this huge ass pick up truck flying two huge ass flags. And my first thought of course was here we go again,,,but they were Biden flags! I tried to stick around to see who it belonged to, but no luck lol.
You could take the approach mentioned in this story - homeowner supposedly* put a note on the sign saying, “If you steal this I’ll make a $50 donation to Planned Parenthood, and get another sign.”
*since there’s no photo. I hope it’s true, great concept.
My neighbor put up a Biden sign at the entrance to our neighborhood. It kept getting stolen. After 3 steals, I donated $25 to PP, printed out the receipt, and taped it to the new sign. I just put “Sign Stealer” at the top above where it said “Thank you!”
That sign lasted about a week. Now there are 8 Biden signs at the same spot. 😂

I honestly don't understand how Trump doesn't have a lingering cough. When I get a cough I literally have it for like 6 months. It's always the last symmptom to go. WTF did they give him? I want some!
My god, Texas. Give it a rest, you cheatinassmotherfuckers.
Texas is actually the worst (at ease of voting): www.texastribune.org/2020/10/19/texas-voting-elections/ And the overwhelming comments on Facebook when this was posted on our local news was "well I've never had trouble voting so this is all lies/fake news/liberal bias". They literally can't imagine an experience outside of their own.
I live in Houston, TX. I know that many do not believe it can be difficult to vote. I have had issues multiple times and others discount my experience.
I have had to provide documents they show I am not a felon. This is related to an arrest being on my record that I had to get removed. I have had to drive around until I found the right polling location. That took me 3 hours and several poll workers to locate.
Also if you happen to move and not reregister your address you have to deal with either provisional or driving.
The polling location has become more relaxed now and even on voting day you can go to any location now.
This is a friend of a friend's house - except I saw it prior to the blur on his itty bitty bits. I wondered how long it would take to hit the national media.

I used to live in Houston and my voting experience was a huge PITA compared to voting on the west coast.
I really hope these new Texas votes are bluer than blue.
Me too. I am part of Denton county and we are still trying to figure out what made the biggest jump so far in our area. I suspect UNT to be the cause. Also it was surprised to learn that around 48.5% of the voting population did not even vote last time considering there was only a 9 percent margin in 2016. Texas is a less red than I thought.

Trump walked out of an interview with Lesley Stahl and tweeted how she wasn’t wearing a mask. Trying to get more details. But I am sure this made someone who wears masks so much like Trump very upset.

I was just reading this on CNN! I can’t wait for 60 mins this weekend.

Someone on MSNBC just stated Texas is not so much red as it is a a non voting state. Voter suppression has been a long-term success but hopefully voter participation only grows.
I saw that website, I just found it a little confusing at times for me to always know what he was comparing. The average positivity rate for the last 14 is just super straightforward and I just think it would be a very, very simple visual for everyone two weeks before the election. Look at all the states that are seeing out-of-control positivity rates. Almost all of them (save Wisconsin) are red. I mean I know Trump diehards won’t care but maybe “undecided” voters would realize that democrats actually have a chance at controlling this pandemic a bit?

You may not have to wait. Whiny man baby threatening to post it before air time. I’m so confused, are masks at the WH good or bad? Does it matter if you are a trump patsy or not? Whiplash.
Our absentee requests and returns in OK are hitting record numbers. But I’m so nervous because of these registration and changes in party numbers. I know Trump will win the state, but we need to hang on to OK-5 to help keep the House. I’m also holding out hope that at least Oklahoma County (OKC and surrounding) will turn blue.
