Lurker here, i found a teeny black dot under my tongue and wondering if anybody else has had one. I just happen to be going to my DDS for cleaning tomorrow so i will also ask him.
I had a tiny black dot on the side of my inner cheek once. My neighbor, who was a dentist, took a look and said it wae more than likely to be a tiny blood blister. She said it was common. Hopefully yours is something similar! Does it hurt?
which everyone would say to my spotted tongue Shepard (not my dog, but I can’t insert gifs )
My Puppy is part Chow (one of her siblings did a DNA test) and she has a blue spot on her tongue. However, before I found out she was actually part Chow I had researched it and apparently any dog with Black Points can have the coloration of their tongue affected. The more you know!
My H had one of these in his cheek and didn't think anything of it until he went to the dentist. He was referred to an oral surgeon to have it cut out and biopsied. It turned out to be nothing, I was really worried only because we were smokers at the time (this was like 15 years ago). It turned to be something called a melanomic macule which was benign. Anyway, I'd get it looked at for sure. :-)

Yup! I tried explaining that to people, but eventually gave up and would just say “maybe” 🤷♀️

Got it looked at today. My dds said it was a varicose vein and no worries. He did say that if you get a scab that doesn't heal, that's when you have a problem.

Donny has black spots on his tongue and I found the same thing on Google. But turns out he does have some Chow Chow in him!
