Tile floor

We have a very small 1st floor powder room.

We are updating the floor in there. I picked a patterned tile that is 8x8”, but because the bathroom is so small I will not be getting the full pattern more than once if that makes sense. Personally i think it’s fine but my husband disagrees. Do I need to pick a smaller tile like 6x6 so I see the full pattern more?

I was having the same dilemma. For reference my powder room is 25sq feet, so not big.

I decided to go with less of pattern. See my post below I put a picture of my tile in there.

If you can't fit the entire pattern once, I think it would end up looking like you chose the wrong scale pattern for the room.  I would pick something else.

This is an in-progress pic, but this is what we put in our powder room.  The tile is 13x13" and the room is 4'x5'.

I would definitely go smaller personally.

I think those patterns look too busy in large spaces so I think a small bathroom would be a perfect space for it.

If you love it, centre the pattern in a place where you will see the whole of one of it and then build around that. I think it would look fine that way.

I love patterned tiles like that but would want to see more of it, not less, so I personally would go with a smaller tile.
