Another reason to vote early is that there MAY be a higher percentage of people at the polls on Election Day who really should be quarantined but are going to the polls anyway, so there might be a slightly elevated risk of exposure.
Seriously, if you CAN vote early, I think it’s a great idea to do so. This is not the year to get nostalgic about going to the polls on Election Day, it’s the year to make sure YOUR VOTE COUNTS.
Is anyone seeing the video being shared of Biden saying 4 more years of 'George'...? Is this a fake or did it really happen?
I just did some twitter searching - the call was being hosted by George Lopez. Seems like Biden was referencing the host, but of course it’s an easy way to lean into “dementia” bullshit.
Ugh, my ZIP seems to have the largest gap between Trump vs. Biden donations in the whole borough - $144k for Trump, $36k for Biden.
This is SO interesting to me. My area is solidly blue for Biden, but there are so many Trump signs... Even in my backwoods hometown Biden is ahead. That makes me laugh.

I think there are a lot of people that are afraid of showing their Biden support.
An analysis of Census Bureau survey data from the 2016 election shows a deep class divide: Americans who did not vote were more likely to be poor, less likely to have a college degree, and more likely to be a single parent than the people who voted. They were also less likely to be in the labor force.

This gives me hope as our area (Fort Worth, TX) is solidly blue in number of donors, but dollars donated are much more red, which is what I expected before looking at the graphic. I think there are a handful of very wealthy people keeping the Trump dollars flowing, but there are more people who support Biden. Hopefully this means more actual votes for Biden.
“One thing we’ve seen in a lot of the Black community, which is mostly Democrat, is that President Trump’s policies are the policies that can help people break out of the problems that they’re complaining about,” Kushner said Monday on “Fox & Friends.” “But he can’t want them to be successful more than they want to be successful.”

We have plans to vote on the day of. But now reading your post Velar I am worried Neither of us are out of the house much and @@@@@ DD is pretty locked down so I hope we'll be ok.
This is giving me hives - go vote now! What if you have car trouble or get in a fender bender? What if you trip and break your ankle and spend all day at the doctor? Eat bad chicken and can’t get off the toilet? It’s 2020 - so many things can go wrong!
You all are freaking me out. I don't need more of that, lol.
We walk there because it's close. I will wear a diaper and barf bag if I have to. My county will go blue though.

This is really interesting. The zip to the SE of us that’s bright red in $ contributions is light blue in # of donors. My own zip is double the $ for Biden and 4x the number of Biden donors.

This. I was sent to the hospital in 2016. I had already voted thankfully, but my H didn't and he refused to leave to go vote. Don't be my H. Vote early.

No, but I’ve seen a mention of it. With the claim he said “4 more years, George” bc he was talking to a George? Not sure
On the NYT link... I found it fascinating the zip code I grew up in is higher Biden than trump, but only marginally and surrounded by red. But this feeds it’s the narrative in my head that what I hear about TN today is the TN I grew up in. Apparently, it’s not.
More people have already voted early so far (58.6 million) with 8 days to go than voted early or absentee in the entire early voting period of 2016 (58 million).
Lots more statistics regarding party affiliation, first-time/infrequent voters, etc. in the article below.
I know the expectation is that R voters will turn out in droves on Election Day. But man, given all the uncertainties of life right now I feel like it's too much to just assume you'll be available that day. What if these voters get exposed and need to quarantine? What if they get sick? What if a natural disaster impacts Election Day in their area? Admittedly, my DH didn't get why I needed to go vote immediately on Saturday (first day of early voting) until I reminded him that he just ended his quarantine period due to exposure and what happens if he gets exposed again at work this week and has to quarantine again? So then he went to go vote lol.
I voted on Saturday. On Sunday we got a quarantine letter. Thank GOODNESS I voted on Saturday.
Yeah, definitely vote early if possible. We dropped off our ballots in a drop box last week, and already got the notification that they were received and will be counted. Which gives me peace of mind now that my entire city was hit with an evacuation warning due to a fire in a nearby canyon that started only this morning. The last thing I want to be doing while packing my just in case bag is worrying about when/where I'm going to vote.
I'm disappointed to see only 290 Biden donors in my ZIP. We outnumber Trump donors by a great margin, and the Biden $ total is 26x that of Trump, but it's crazy to me that more people don't donate. I feel like I'm surrounded by impassioned Biden supporters, and the median income is around $180K, so it seems like there should be more people chipping in.

He's a maggot.
Could he please end up in prison? Is that too much to ask?
Where did that post about the mass exodus of CDC if he wins re-election go? Because, this seems somewhat related. And terrifying. I’m pretty sure my job is one that would fit policy designation.
Ugh. Seriously, this terrifies me. I have no idea what skills I have outside of the government. I use to have skills in my field, but... they are 20 years old.
My town is split almost evenly according to that NYT page.
I am honestly having serious serious anxiety about this election. I'm at the point where I can not imagine what will happen to this country if this pig wins. I have to figure out how to get through this im making myself ill.
So Trump can sleep with and pay off porn stars, violate a million norms, not to mention basic decency...Old grab em by the pussy is A-okay. But Kamala's dancing is "embarrassing". Peg can fuck all the way off on the way to her many, many seats.
I'm writing postcards and here are the active campaigns that I can choose to write for:
Thoughts below. But there are you getting names? I thought most postcard stuff was done given that we're about a week out.
Jaime Harrison in SC - I think that JH is probably doing fine but this is a close race. Jen Metzger in NY - This is a state level election and postcards would go a long way in local race but I do not think the NY senate is likely to flip if you do have to make a choice to narrow your focus. There is a lot of money flowing for what would normally be a sleepy race. spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-ny/ny-state-of-politics/2020/10/12/teachers-and-police-unions--plus-a-billionaire--battle-over-senate Hillary Scholten in MI - Super close race in MI. This might be my first focus. Abby Finkenauer in IA - This doesn't appear as close. I would put this 3rd.
Does anyone have insight into these races / any thoughts on which one(s) I should focus on?
