This thrills me! We happen to go to the same pool club as Gade, and I was meh on him as a person, let alone my senator. I was worried that the disabled vet thing was going to overshadow the fact that he said required mask wearing was what tyranny feels like. WTF, glad his family was too busy to be at the pool at all this summer...
I know it seems trivial to everyone else, but the DEMS needed to come to Miami and forcefully push back on the "socialist" shit. Especially, when you have some in the party who are totally ok with using that term. I promise you, the trauma of whatever socialism they experienced in their countries, is POWERFUL. not just to those who fled but to their kids and grandkids.
YES.
True socialism - the Marx kind of socialism - is very different than the kind of socialism in Cuba.

correct, but they don't make a distinction. Frankly, I don't blame them.
I need all of my responsibilities for the day to be done so I can drink to quiet the panic in my chest right now. Even though I know the early Trump states are red states, it’s so hard to take.
Biden campaign made a calculated decision to try and fold in the Berners rather than go after a segment of the population in Miami. It sucks, we’re all going to get our hearts broken over FL again, but assume the data backed it up. (That small cushion in Miami is not enough to overcome other areas of the state.)
I'm just tied to the needle. I can't give it up. They are giving Trump a 95% chance of winning it
FL or the election?
Florida––NYT is only doing the needle for Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina this year. No national needle. (still, the state needles are traumatizing me)
It remains pretty weird that VA spent only a few years as a purple state before moving into a blue one. I’ve lived here almost 12 years now and it was reddish when I got here.
