I made my first ever sweet potato pie on Sunday, ate two slices and then threw it away because it wasn’t great. I’m regretting that decision because now I have no pie at all. I however do have 6 pints of ice cream, including honey sopapilla, and Mexican hot chocolate oreos. I suppose I should bust one of those out.
What is this honey sopapilla ice cream you speak of and where can I get it?
I’m so encouraged by everyone’s optimism here & on the news.
I didn’t fully appreciate how much 2016 messed with me. I know all of the people who know the math are confident, and I should be able to trust them...but apparently I trust no one at this point. I want to feel that excitement, but I just want to vomit.
Please don’t make me scroll back through this post. Does anyone have the link handy for the GA letter writing? I want to share it with a local group I am in.
When he dreams, I think he just sees numbers flying around in his brain.
I feel like all the sleep-deprived TV number-crunchers at this point have to be having nightmares about things like getting numbers hugely wrong, mixing up entire states and/or forgetting to wear pants on-air in the short amount of sleep that they're getting.
It seems really unlikely they would call it for a candidate not in the lead.
Do you think once he get the lead, they will call it? Or will they wait for all votes?
Depends who you mean by "they" since different news agencies seem to have different risk tolerance. It does seem likely that most of the votes in PA will be counted today, so I assume some agencies will call it. But, I also assume they will be more cautious than other states since calling PA for Biden would mean calling him the winner.

I had a dream last night that they were wrong about PA and it went to Trump. I was so happy to wake up. I'm way too obsessed with election results if I'm having nightmares about them!
I don’t know how you beautiful bastards made a presidential election thread Gritty-centric, but I am here 👏 for 👏 it 👏!!! This is the kind of energy we need to last the final 47 months of 2020!

Well, I had a dream that PA got called for Biden and he burst through the door to hug me while I congratulated him.
Note to all: my door is unlocked this morning, just in case 😂
I don't know how anyone can talk non stop for days and still sound normal.
We turned off CNN around midnight last night and back on around 8am this morning, and it's all the same people. They do look like they changed clothing so I assume they slept some, but I am honestly kind of surprised they don't rotate the group more.

I hold trainings at work that are 30 minutes long and at the end I feel so drained and tired. These people have literally been at it for like 4 days. I feel tired watching them.
ETA: I’m guessing they don’t have a ton of people with John Kings smart TV skills. But the others could probably rotate more.
HEB was my college grocery store. I really wish they’d make it to north TX.
Central Market is HEB owned. A little higher end (read: more expensive) but will get the job done! (Not sure where you are, but they're in DFW)
Yes I used to work right around the corner from one! The rosemary bread is so good. But HEB would be a great every day grocery store. They had allegedly bought land close to my house but then Tom Thumb bought the land directly across the street so HEB sold it

I just saw where my hometown (very rural) is planning a Trump parade this weekend because “they are the winners and they should start acting like it!!!!” 😂🤦🏼♀️
I really hope Stacey Abrams has someone making her a huge breakfast this morning and is ready to pour her a mother fucking drink the second GA gets called.

Maybe I am slap-happy after four days of this but this is cracking me up. What a resume builder!

I’ve been pretty impressed with his math and smart TV skills. He is quick at both!
I’m used to watching the old men at work struggle with both and it’s so painful to watch.
He is so smart with this stuff. I remember in 2016, he said “do you see a pattern forming” with 45 and votes and the map and that’s when I went to bed. He said it early on too.
To no one's surprise, I have not been sleeping well this week. I toss and turn and sleep lightly and every time I wake up, I wonder if if everyone's been wrong and things have flipped the wrong way. I don't actually check the news until I'm ready to get up for the day though, so it's just middle of the night speculation.
Anyway, it was such a treat to wake up this morning to see that Biden is not only up but ahead in Georgia and has made massive gains in PA. I might be downing pots of coffee to keep me going, but that news was worth another sleepless night!
