I angry sewed this in about 15 minutes. Angry sewed because I’ve been embroidering for hours. He had failures with the tape one he tried make. Probably could have kept it for Christmas, but look at that smile.
Finally got all 3(!) done and 2 of them back from the framing shop, but then forgot to take a picture of the3rd one before I wrapped it. Whoops! Here’s the 2, I’ll add the other one after my mom unwraps and/or hangs it.
Quilt to FIL. I actually wrapped an extra wide border fabric I was originally going to keep on the front as the binding because the backing fabric was tight coverage-wise and I didn’t want to chance it. It worked great, I may do it that way in the future. This quilt has been in the works for 12+ years and I had originally planned it to be a bigger quilt for us to use on our bed, but got tired of the star blocks.
For SIL. She had pet llamas that lived on her friend’s farm. The oldest passed away this year while we were visiting. I always think of her when I see llamas. This is from an Etsy pattern.

These are amazing! Did you do the quilting yourself? I always have to hire a long arm quilter. The one I have used for years passed away within the last couple of months. I found a new one but don't like her work as much.
michelle Yes, I usually do the quilting myself. It’s usually the most frustrating part for me. this one was a beast and frustrating. I’m trying to get better at stop/starting without thread bunching up. I also do nearly all straight stitching to go with the layout of the quilt, but did just buy a foot for free motion to try it. Anything bigger than a twin size will end up at a longarmer.

I finished up two identical sweaters for my two nieces that are a few weeks apart. It’s the Cuddle Tunic from Ellie and Mac and I really liked it although it was a fabric hog even at 2T sizing. I’m not a puff sleeve person.

This was the last gift I needed to get done to send. My mom has wanted this design on a sweatshirt for years. I hate doing embroidery on clothing, but finally buckled down and did it on my new machine. It stitched it better than I would have ever hoped. The design is from Urban Threads.
This basket kinda looks like a drunk monkey sewed parts of the top stitching, but it’s fun and functional and for my sister. It’s from a Noodlehead design. I can’t wait to make more. It was my first time working with foam and I’m so pumped to use it more.

shortcake2675 I love using soft and stable in my baskets. Everything just holds so nicely. I love that basket pattern. So many great uses.
I am working on finishing up hot pads and then I need to sew a camera sleeve for SIL. Once those are done I will be done. I already did a sample of the camera sleeve to see how it fit her camera. Going to make some adjustments and use foam for better shape now.
Finally got a picture of the framed cross stitch I did for my mom. I didn’t quite get much of a reaction from her, but she was that way on everything from everyone.
