For those that have the hatch loira, noodleoomorecoffeeplease, do you use the sound machine part of it too? I've found when it switches program (i.e. night time with red light and white noise to day time with green light and white noise) there is a pause and that sometimes wakes DD up. is this something I'm doing wrong with setting up the program? it's super annoying that it wakes her up.
I've never noticed because she likes the sound to be the same for nighttime and wake ups. She will often sleep through several minutes of her green light to wake. Since H and I usually wake up as she comes into our room I've never noticed if there's a pause between programs with the same sound.
If I was still posting pics or knew how, I would post one of the creepiest ones ever of my twins standing a foot away from my face. I woke up to them staring at me holding the damn clock saying that it was almost "green time."
It never worked. My kids have always been shit sleepers. Even when we say they can come out of their room at 7am, we hear yelled updates every few minutes of how many minutes are left until 7am starting at whatever ungodly hour they wake up. Or they come up to our room to give us the update. Sigh.

We do use the noise machine but only for the night time setting. When it turns green in the morning the sound turns off. I’ve never noticed that it turning off woke DD1 up. She’s 5 now and sometimes sleeps past when the light turns green. We set the green for when we need to get up anyway, so it isn’t really an issue for us.
We put a regular night light on a timer. When the light is on, its bedtime. When the light is off, they can get up. It works pretty well, although it takes some firmness at first of making them go back to bed and wait until the light is off, even when we knew it would go off momentarily. We didn't want to introduce any ambiguity about the rule. We have 3 girls sharing the same room, so we also have rules about quietly leaving and allowing sisters to continue sleeping etc
We did something recently to get our kid to stay in his room all night--we made a sleep chart and for every night he slept in his bed all night he got a sticker. Then when he earned 5 stickers he would get a reward (lollipop). It has worked for us like a charm.
I am still considering an ok to wake clock though, because I would love for my kid to stay in bed until 7 rather than 6:30, lol.
... 7?!? 7 is your dream?!?! My dream is 5:30. Waaaah.
ugh, I've been there too! it does get better!
She's almost 8... I think we're stuck with it lol. At least now she's figured out how to exit her room and go downstairs without waking us up (most of the time).
