I don't know that it will be called before the 6th, although that would be great. Early voting ended with enough time for those ballots to get counted (ended on Dec. 30) but there are still mail-in ballots that may be straggling in and polls don't close until 7:00 p.m. They're supposedly in a statistical tie so the odds of it being called quickly are likely fairly low.
HOWEVER, Perdue's seat is vacant, as his expired on January 3, if that helps. (Loeffler is still seated.) He won't be voting on the 6th.
A funny: Ivanka tweeted a pic of her and Trump headed to GA on Air Force One, and apparently instead of tagging her father she tagged Meat Loaf instead.
Anyone know if the results will be slow coming in like they were for the general election? I would love for it to be settled before Congress meets.
Georgia does not allow the counting of absentee ballots until the day of the election - so unless it’s a landslide, it will take a few days. Even if they have a winner tomorrow, they won’t be sworn in until after the JSC.
Fun fact - Loeffler says she’ll vote against certifying the results on Wednesday. I guess it didn’t occur to her that since she wasn’t sworn in on Sunday that she won’t be part of the JSC.

If the poles are correct, there are going to be recounts, regardless of which side wins. Early voting should really help. A lot of people who used absentee ballots last time, did early voting this time, to avoid issues. I will be glad for Wednesday, when we can return to commercials for Cialis, instead of people screaming "socialism" and "China", and my 14 year old stops getting calls and text from random strangers on both sides of the isle, demanding she vote (she has had her number for 6 years, where are these people getting their list?). As I put away my "Georgia Blue" ornament a talented potter friend made, this atheist, may have said a little prayer. I have faith in Raffensperger, and more so in Sterling, who I have known for 30+ years. They are republicans, but Gabe is a life long public servant, not a person who made mint, and should not be living with snipers on his roof, after being threatened by the president.
I do not necessarily have faith in Raffensberger. I think we need to be careful not to use this one action, which could easily have been done with self-preservation in mind, to honor him as a hero.
I think there’s plenty of complaints that he is trying to suppress the vote, especially Black voters. I saw on Twitter that some voter registration orgs filed complaints against him in December.

Loeffler’s term doesn’t expire until after the special election for her seat, so she will get to vote ☹️
I know whomever wins won't be sworn in but I'm more wondering if the outcome of the run-offs will pull more asshats away from the EC fuckery on Wednesday. Besides being in Trumps favor I do think a lot of this posturing relates to the run-off, wanting appear strong to the Georgia Trump supporters.
Let's not get too high on Republican officials smacking down Presidential lies about the election. They have made it a party mission to suppress as many Democratic votes as they can without inadvertently suppressing GOP ones. They're pissed because they know they've pushed the systems to the limit and 45 is asking them to do more in broad daylight.
So, yes, it is good and necessary to see people of integrity defending good laws. But the party is rotten to the core, many of the laws still suck, and they're only doing it to keep the faintest veneer of democracy overlaying their suppressive manipulation.
