Leaf! It's a metal handle that is a three blade razor. It has magenta that hold the blades in place.
jeeez...does anybody like one that isn't pushing $100?
I got this just to see if I could handle the safety razor thing. So far so good, although I do wish it had a swivel head to go around curves more easily.
We got a few of these at a grocery store by us and they are the first cloth my husband likes enough to use in the kitchen for cleaning. I love how quickly they dry and ours washed really well. He is a paper towel addict for stuff like this so I'm glad I found something he will use! Also, they are compostable when they do eventually wear our.
I'm excited for this thread, I'm out of shampoo and am going to try a bar. I kept forgetting to cancel my recurring order so I have a bunch of conditioner left over but can hopefully switch that too.
I bought HiBar Moisturize shampoo and conditioner. I have only tried the conditioner but I don't like how long it takes to use it and my hair feels a little static-y after (FWIW I have long hair and it's really dry in CO), so I'm going to try to find another option.
I have an unopened shampoo and an unopened conditioner. I will send them to someone who would like to try them. No cost, but be warned, it may take me a while to actually ship them.

Oh man, I'm so bummed you didn't like them. Mine is a maintain and it's worked well on my long, fine hair.
If no one else wants them, I will gladly reimburse you!

Oh no, don't worry about it! It was worth a try. If I were willing to wash with the shower water off or if I took more baths, I would keep them. But I feel bad about the waste of hot water. I am thinking that the type where you buy a bar and mix a liquid at home might be the way for me to go.

I’m almost a lurker with the scarcity of my posts, but I am interested in trying them. I understand if you want to give them to someone who posts more.

We’ve switched almost entirely to vinegar, baking soda, and cloths here for cleaning mainly due to the pandemic and a prior thread. All old washcloths, diapers, and old shirts are in the rag bin for use. We are still using up some old chemical cleaners that the prior owners of our house left (because I don’t want to trash anything still useful). We also reduced usage of laundry soap—we had plumbing issues in July, so we halved the soap. Our clothes smell better since I think they had residue on them. No real rant/rave on laundry soaps—we’ve used what we could find on the cleaner spectrum but nothing stands out.
I switched to bar soap in the shower and baths. The kids still use foaming hand soap but are transitioning to bars. We are using up all of the body washes we had stockpiled with them before we all go bar. I’m the only one who likes the baby lavender bath that I found in the back of the closet though, so I’m using that now.
For face, I switched to cetaphil bars (or the closest I can find).
Does anyone have a dishwasher detergent they love? We are running out of Dropps and I am not convinced I love them enough to keep with them so looking at other options.
Would love as little waste as possible (cardboard or compostable preferred; no plastic) and not a powder that needs to be measured out.
Ones that have stood out: Clean Cult Blueland Truman's
it arrived yesterday. I tried it out this morning. Can't speak yet to how it holds up obviously, but first impression is that it's great. was super easy to install a blade, no nicks or anything, was pretty much just like using a disposable razor. legs are nice and smooth. i did a little bikini line test patch because I get WICKED razor burn there and I'm curious to see how that does. I'm not expecting miracles, but so far so good. so yeah, less than $30 and the only trash I'll ever have to make again while shaving are the blazes themselves and the bitsy amounts of packaging for the blades (and you can find that plastic free)
Next question - what do yall use in terms of shave cream? I have been using a random conditioner that I tried and hated for my hair. It's not ideal, but whatever, it gets the job done and it's using up this otherwise useless to me product. i'd like a bar for when that runs out. there's 1 MILLION options out there - any you love? My skin is fairly sensitive, so if I just use soap i tend to get some irritation. I need some slip.
