Tomorrow is DS1's late start day. I have been taking him for donuts every Wednesday. We'll be doing that tomorrow in celebration of the inauguration and I will be popping a bottle of bubbles in the morning to enjoy while I watch the inauguration.
I don't have any other special food plans, but bubbles were a priority.
I mentioned this thread to MH and he suggested we order Indian food for lunch.
He drank his last Dogfish Head beer (Delaware) on Election Night.
I had beef stew planned for dinner tomorrow. I made a flourless chocolate cake and raspberry sauce tonight, so we can have that again tomorrow and I’ll put some ice cream on top.
We’re having Indian food for lunch during the inauguration and Mexican takeout for dinner (just a craving). I put bubbly in the fridge and I think I’ll pop it at lunch tomorrow too. I’ve been saving it for sooo long!
turbo I like the waffles with berries and whipped cream for the red, white, and blue - good idea. I think I can actually pull that off tomorrow...
I am going to try to get the ingredients to make an American flag shot. The handful of times I’ve had it in the past twenty years (aside from the first time, in Australia, of all places), the creme de cacao has been brown, which is a visual fail. Hopefully, I can find the white (clear). I remember it tasting like a chocolate covered cherry.

I don’t know what to pair it with yet, but I will likely make Kamala’s cornbread dressing (without the sausage, since I’m vegetarian). I had it for Thanksgiving and Christmas; it is quite good.
I was thinking of getting cinnamon rolls to have for breakfast while I'm watching the inauguration and getting ready for work, if I have the chance to stop on my way home tonight. Not specifically related or themed, but trying to do something celebratory.
We’ll be celebrating with cake! That’s 1/2 because it’s my husband’s birthday and 1/2 a celebration for the country. He’s so excited for his birthday this year! Lol! He’s hoping it’ll block out the memory of his birthday in 2017.
