I have a pastry buffet in the morning. I didn't know that Delaware's official beverage is milk so I'll save the cookies for a milk and cookies snack. I'm thinking Indian food for dinner and ice cream for dessert. I did that for the day the election was called.

It will be 1am here. 12a the following day we going on strict lockdown again. I was already planning on Indian takeaway yesterday but didn't make it there yet. I wasn't thinking of a specific menu, just what I wanted to eat yesterday.
I think my 1am snack needs to be roti (have), Jamaican patties (have most ingredients, but I haven't made them yet. Have been wanting to make them since xmas. Oops), maybe some peaches and cream ice cream if I can find it. I think I'll need to skip dinner for that 1 way trip to heartburn. Oooh, some kludged callaloo with Chinese bitter greens. With chicken and apple curry. That used to be served at my favorite caribbean restaurant, plus it cross matches with DE. Someone alert the media for immaculate conception with all these cravings I've had recently.
I bought a bottle of champagne for election night, but then I was too nervous/superstitious to pop it until Biden was really truly president, so I will be drinking that whole bottle tonight.
My husband got an ice cream cake and had them write "46 " on it with blue icing.
I was thinking of getting a peanut butter cup dasher from Carvel alllll for myself but this cake idea is amazing. The only thing is, I don't want leftovers. And as much as I want to, I can't eat even the little cakes they have all by myself.

I one got a carvel cake that serves 20-30 for a dinner for 13. I am a terrible influence when it comes to ice cream cake.
I'm a little jealous though. I wish I had some orange juice so I could make mimosas. I'll just be drinking straight bubbly at 10am. Haha
I thought so too but I’m sure it’s a nod to Trump (Florida orange). So it made a lot more sense. At first I was very confused though because it is widely known by my friends that I don’t even like oranges. 🤷♀️
Ooooh you can juice them and imagine it is his face you are smashing!

Today we celebrate the USA, so it's an American feast:
Food: Starter: a collection of US cheeses, California olives, Texas iberico. Mains: Filet Mignon, jacket potatoes, fresh green beans. Dessert: Grocery store birthday cake.
Wines - California sparkling wine, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, Napa Cab, and more California sparkling.
It didn't even occur to me to plan anything, and now I'm very disappointed in myself. I don't even have any bubbly! (this is an actual strange thing... I usually have a prosecco stash in the garage)

:: CEP lurker trying to participate more - hi! ::
Dinner tonight is curry pot pie. For dessert we are having peanut butter swirl brownie sundaes with ice cream and all the toppings. I've had this on the meal plan for two weeks and H had no idea it was that deliberate.
