callmekd - yes, in MA. It’s been very disorganized, but now they’re going to open the football stadium as a site. The local VA just lost 2000 doses because the fridge where they were being stored was unplugged 🙄
Our town is allowing 65+ people to register, but my parents moved a few years ago and I don’t know what their town is doing.
Also, I’d heard that you shouldn’t get any vaccinations within a few weeks of the COVID vaccine, and my dad just got his shingles vaccine. So I don’t know if he’s supposed to wait?
I'm in group 1b because of my health issues. Basically, I am lumped in with the 65+ folks because I'm a hot mess. I wasn't sure where I would fall, so I talked to my doctor and she submitted the paperwork and got me approved. She'd rather see me vaccinated early because I've had so many issues so recently.

I remember your health issues and I’m glad you’re getting in early. We are lucky to be at the bottom of the list. Our town has been a mess. All neighboring towns had their first responders vaccinated weeks before we did.
I wish my dad would get in but he’s a Trumper and probably won’t. 🙄
Add me to the vaccine-frustrated list. I have been teaching in person since August. I am eligible for the vaccine but cannot make an appointment. Somehow, three stay at home mom friends in my state have gotten it, yet here I am, forced into a classroom with full time students and nothing. Teachers are essential until it's time to actually do something.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

How did they get the vaccine?
I know one SAHM got it in another state because they had leftovers that would go bad. I wish the clinics would have a list of phase 1B people to call for extras rather than their friends.

One is on a school board and somehow they got them? Another's father is a pharmacist and they had extras at the end of the day. Not sure about the other one. It annoys the shit out of me and I'm trying to be happy for everyone but I'm so jealous and pretty mad that there is no plan to get a shot in my arm while I put my health on the line every day so people can work.

I think school board is considered in the education group. But yeah if your butt stays home all day and you have no health conditions then why not recommend someone with health conditions or works with the public to go before you (general you)?
