I've decided to rewatch Absolutely Fabulous, sweetie darlings. The last time I saw it I was Saffie's age. Now I'm more like Edina's. Should be interesting, LOL.

That is so weird when I rewatch old shows. I used to be the teenager! Now I find characters my age either have a very young child or a college student which seems extreme. I know it’s accurate but not having kids myself it is jarring to think that since my mom was 22 when she had me, she was 40 when I started college. Eek!

My mom used to go on and on about how "old" she was when she had me (she had IF). She was 26.

My parents seemed so old to me when I was a kid - they were 27 when they got married, 33 when they had me...I was 28 when I got married and 33 when I had my first LOL. So, now I'll be in my early 50's when my daughter starts college.
Our new rower arrived today. I suspect that it will befall the same fate as every other piece of exercise equipment that has been brought in to our house and be used a handful of times, collect dust for several months, and ultimately be sold for much less than what we actually paid. Good times.
It's always fun looking at my bank account right before a bunch of large items get paid, it won't be as fun in a few days LOL
Ooooh this freaks me out on the regular. I'm 37 and when my mom was 37, I was 14. I was having a lot of weird health issues around that time with a lot of tests and possible scary diagnoses and it BLOWS my mind to think of my mom dealing with all of that, especially as a single mom, at this age. I do NOT feel like an adult and yet she was such an adult to me lol.

circa1978, omg my mom & I used to watch that show when I was younger (yes, I was probably Saffie's age too!) LOL. What platform is it on to watch, netflix or ?? I would love to rewatch some of those episodes, so hilarious.
I had a medium sized freak out this morning about how behind I feel already this semester. Classes started Tuesday (mine are both asynchronous online) but I've been in the office for my internship Tue - Thu without my personal laptop. So I haven't been able to keep up with shit during the day and so today I'm trying to organize and watch the first week's lectures for both classes, plus I forgot I scheduled myself to give a software training at 3pm this afternoon. Trying to just take deep breaths and remind myself it will get easier.

My kids finally start school back on Monday (remote) after being out for a solid FIVE weeks. So effing ridiculous. They are year-round so it was two weeks of holiday break, and then a 3 week track out. Grrrrr. Since they stuck everyone on the track 4 schedule this year b/c of covid. I've been trying to remain positive but some days its really, really hard.
soccermama, it's on Hulu. I spent most of my junior high/high school years watching BBC comedy shows on Comedy Central. It played a huge part on my sense of humor. Definitely did not watch with my mom, LOL.

I freakin love that show!! I rewatched it last year.
I’m overly excited that we are making pizza tonight. Pretty much the only good thing about the pandemic times is that we really have nailed pizza dough and pancakes.
Plus I have delegated the making of both to my husband so I don’t have to do anything.
7 Days post dental surgery and I am down to a regular dose of Advil. I still have pain meds leftover but I try to to avoid taking the heavy ones as much as possible. I can now chew soft foods and I had a donut earlier and it only hurt a little. So I say progress. I am happy I am healing.
I feel like this week just went so quickly. The energy has changed for me mentally how that we have Biden and Harris leading this country. I have hope brewing in me and it is a welcomed change.
DS1 is having a rough week with remote learning. He needs to be back in school so badly. He was supposed to go back to hybrid next week and then they pushed it out two more week. He’s getting a couple of Ds and now I’m the worst mom ever because I’m making him go to his Math teacher’s office hours. He already has a Math tutor but he’s still struggling. I don’t know how else to help him.

I think our new patio is going to be finished today, perfect timing now that it's the dead of winter. I am happy that it will be finished, though, and I'm starting to plan my landscaping!
Yeah, it's super weird to think that I was 15 years old when my parents were my age. I viewed them as such adults, and there are many days when I don't feel like an adult at all. I remember being 15 pretty clearly, which I think is weirdest. I can't imagine having a teenager living in my house!
One thing that has been nice about COVID is that I've had a lot more long conversations with friends/family in the last several months than usual. I talked to an old friend on the phone for over 2 hours last night, and it was so nice. It's not the same as being together in person, but I think in absence of being able to see people face to face, it's carved out some space to have phone calls that don't get cut short by having to go places. We really only hung up because it was 11:15pm and it was bedtime! Also, working from home means I can stay up later and do stuff like that, lol.

Week 3 of C25K is done. Man, that super-sucked! I might have to repeat. I dunno. The next week has me running 5 minutes at a clip and I remain...desperate after 60 seconds, lol.
We got that surprise sort of-audit from the IRS at the beginning of January. We finally got the last piece of paperwork for our response, so I faxed and mailed it to them today. I’m really hoping we get a letter back that just says, “ok, thanks, you’re good to go,” but I honestly have no idea what happens from here. I’m 100% sure we didn’t do anything wrong and don’t owe anything, but tax shit is complicated. Now I’m done with that just in time to start on our 2020 taxes.
I’m really not in the mood to work today. There are two things I really need to work on, but I am unmotivated. I need a couple of days off. I’m going to take a couple days in February when I’m done with all the stuff that’s currently on my plate.

What is your secret to pancakes? They are one thing I just don’t do well, even if I do a mix. I just never get that beautiful brown color.
A week+ ago I pulled a muscle or something in my hip area (possibly my hip flexor, but it was more off to the side so I couldn't quite pin down what I did). I've been resting, icing, heating, NSAIDing, etc, and it's been getting better, but it's been making me walk funny, and as a result I have now also pulled a muscle in my glute on that same side. FML.
I also used a high concentrate CBD cream on it (without menthol!!) and it seemed to help, but it was just a random sample, and I can't actually buy more because it's out of stock everywhere.
And my favorite body wash appears to be discontinued, so now I'm going to have to find something new. Bleh.

After two and a half weeks, I’m finally home. 🙂
People have warned me that this is when the “real” grieving process will begin — once I return to my normal life — but today, at least, I’m feeling good. Only my cat is a little miffed to have me back — while I was gone, she decided that my desk chair is now her desk chair. Sorry, kitty, you’ve got to sleep on a cat bed like the old days again.
omg I'm one assignment in and I have to sign up for a trial of an EMR and create a fake practice with three doctors and three nurses. It wants each one to have a different login email address. I don't have 6 email addresses! lol I've already used school, personal, and maiden name so far. I don't want to create three fake emails just to do this, but I guess I have to.

I really love Puracy if that helps lol. It's plant based, very gentle and I think the citrus and sea salt smells really nice. And I love the refill bags.
