We’re going to a driveway 50th birthday party this afternoon. Thank God it’s nice outside. DH took the boys skiing. I went to Target, talked to my step mom for awhile, went to TJ Maxx for dog toys and am now getting a mani and pedi. Our boys normally take showers at nighttime but are now wanting to take them in the morning, which is fine but yesterday I was the last of all four of us to shower and there was no hot water left. I didn’t get to shave my legs so I feel bad for the girl doing my pedi. I told the boys if they do showers in the morning they have to make them faster. Mama don’t get cold showers!

mofongo yay!! I had the moderna, as did most of my dept., and the arm soreness is pretty strong for several days. Congrats though, and hope you have no other side effects!
I decided I want to get H a new bike for his birthday next month. This is proving more difficult than I had thought it would be lol. I thought maybe the bike rush was over, but apparently not. And he’s tall so there’s limited availability in the size he’d need anyway. Annoying.

Have you had the second dose?? If yes what did you feel? If not let me know when you get it!
Not yet, I go on feb 10th. Not gonna lie, I’m nervous!!

SIL said she was fatigued and a little achey, but able to do a workout the afternoon after. But my other friend had really bad body aches, a fever, and chills for 24-48 after. So. I think it could go either way.

News probably too lowbrow for CEP lol
"Jane [Krakowski] has never met Mr. Lindell [My Pillow Guy]. She is not and has never been in any relationship with him, romantic or otherwise,” her spokesperson told E! “She is, however, in full-fledged fantasy relationships with Brad Pitt, Regé-Jean Page and Kermit the Frog and welcomes any and all coverage on those.”
I took my time getting out of the house this morning. I left to go do errands and as I was standing in line at Dollar Tree I realized I was still wearing my slippers. I did however score some good baskets for my pantry reorganization, so that was good at least.
No other plans for the weekend, hoping I can convince H to have nachos for dinner tonight.
It's beautifully sunny, but super cold here today. It would actually be a great day to go out and take a walk if my hip and glute weren't all screwed up.
I "broke" my H, but in a good way. The entire time we've been together (~23 years) he's insisted that he could only use this one specific kind of bar soap, or else his mild eczema would get worse. I'm not going to question him on his medical stuff because I hate it when people do that to me, but for fun for Christmas this year I bought him the Brickell Mens trial pack, that came with little samples of shampoo, conditioner, face wash, eye cream, and body wash.
He decided to use the body wash because it was only a 3-4 day supply and it would be "fine," and in those few days, his eczema cleared up and he stopped itching. His mind was blown that a higher quality product might actually be better for his skin. He started itching and his eczema patches came back almost immediately when he switched back to his bar soap. So he used my body wash for few days, and again, skin got better, but since it's discontinued, he's on the quest to find something new. Right now he's moving on to some Method body wash samples I bought myself and forgot about. LOL.
This is probably the best one that I know of that ships:) I know GoldBelly has some others but I’d do this one. Sometimes I scrape a little icing off if it’s overwhelming. Cream cheese is my favorite:)
Shoot this into my veins. I don't even like cake but this fucker is exceptional.
I'm on a quest to use up as many trial sizes and samples of beauty products I have from subscription boxes and whatnot. I smell like a Sephora.
I'm doing this too, but with full sized products. So far my legs and feet are extra soft and moisturized, I've finished off a face cream, and I'm on my way to finishing off: another face cream, a neck cream, a pore serum, and a leave in conditioner spray. I also gave myself 1 of 3 hot oil hair treatments.

I just washed an astounding number of dishes, only to have lucy bring down more from her room when I was finished. RAGE!
David is watching the worst YouTube videos- bad kid acting, siblings bickering, I don’t understand why he likes it. It really sounds like they’re making it up as they go along.

Why do you feel bad for the person doing your pedicure? Legs have hair on them. I don’t shave. I’ve never worked as a nail technician, but it doesn’t seem like it’s any extra work to give someone a pedicure that has leg hair vs no leg hair. Am I missing something?

On Monday, they took my next door neighbor out of her house in an ambulance. Now there’s all kinds of construction noise going on inside (row house, shared walls). I’m so worried about her, I hope she is okay. I’m imagining them installing a chair lift or something (please note I haven’t seen any evidence of that, just ya obsessive compulsive conclusion jumping).

I promise it won’t be as good lol, sorry! but yeah that’s pretty steep for a king cake!
I have a really low bar for sweets. I love grocery store baked goods. LOL.
Someone at work usually brings in the real deal and yes it is delish. Whoever finds the baby buys it the next year.

I think because it hasn’t been growing long, it’s pokey/prickly. Sometimes I go with grown out hair and don’t care, but that not quite grown out part I sometimes feel bad about, but just because I wish it was softer.

You mean your hair is hurting the nail technician because it’s not soft? That’s interesting, I can’t say that I would think of that as being a problem, but I’m sure every pedicure is different. None I’ve gotten has had the nail tech delicately touching my leg to be poked by a sharp hair! Thanks for sharing.

It’s not hurting them, per se. It’s just really annoying. They touch my leg/calf for a massage. Do you not have that done?
Today feels like practically day 1 million of quarantine. I stayed in bed until almost 10, we played a game, and I cleaned my shower. Now it's almost 4pm and no other real plans. I think we are going to do curbside pickup for dinner tonight, just to have an excuse to drive somewhere. As usual, I am completely indecisive about what I might want to pick up, though.
Last night I had a very slight fever (99.4, but my norm is in the high 97/low 98 range) and I was so worried I was coming down sick, but it went away and I feel the same as I always do otherwise. I only took it because I had a few flashes of feeling really hot, so who knows what was up with that.

Yep but they put lotion on a rub throughout my legs. Never would think that short hair would be pokey or bothersome to them to feel bad about it. I really only have noticed pokey hair if I literally take 1 finger and poke a small area. But when I put lotion on and rub it on my legs I don’t find it pokey or bothersome.

I get very prickly legs after a day without shaving. It drives me nuts so I can only assume it would drive her nuts to rub lotion on my prickly legs. I’m sure it’s not as big a deal as I felt it was at the time. I normally shave my legs daily so any sort of growth feels like a lot to me!

So my school district, after telling us to go get an appointment for our first shot, has come back and put out a memo saying “No. Stop. We didn’t anticipate you guys all wanting it and we don’t have the infrastructure to accommodate you all.”
They literally sent out a survey asking if we would get it if we could. So they’re saying nobody looked at that?
I’m in kind of a panic about getting my second dose now and so sick of my school district.
I've never had King Cake, but i want to get one this year and have a small Mardi Gras celebration to make our boring lives slightly less boring. I don't know what we would do other than listen to Zydeco music, wear beads and eat cake. This might be a 10 minute party. But i don't know if anyplace local would have a King Cake.
Netflix made I’m Thinking of Ending Things into a movie. We just started it and I’m very curious how it’s going to go. Charlie Kaufman directed so I know it’s gonna be weird. It’s 2 hr 14 min which is odd because I remember it being a fairly short book.
