Treadmill repair?

Has anyone had a treadmill repaired? I am curious if it's going to be worth it for us to have someone come look at it. The treadmill is about 10 years old, a Livestrong 10.0T. This past week it started making a burning smell and there was some white smoke after being used for about 20 minutes. It seems to be coming from the control board, but it still turns on and runs normally. I told H its probably not worth sinking money into, but I also recognize there is a shortage of fitness equipment right now. 

Also, I know there was a thread recently but any recs? I am thinking we would want to spend about $1,000 if we can even find one that is! H uses it more than me, but I have been using it more with the Peloton app.
