No, never. I always wake up exhausted. I generally fall asleep between 10:30-11 and wake up at 6:30. In theory that should be enough sleep but it's not.
I usually sleep from 10-6 on workdays and 10-8:30 on weekends. I never feel rested. I did take a 2 hour nap Saturday and that seemed to give me a boost. I also have an autoimmune disease that makes me feel fatigued most of the time, but Iβd really like to think thatβs enough sleep to have some energy but itβs not.
I usually get 7-8 hrs per night, which seems like βenoughβ but I really need more like 9-10, which would be practically impossible during the work week. I do get that on the weekends, though.
Edit - I will say, Iβm just not a morning person in general, and it takes me a while to βwake upβ once Iβm out of bed. Once Iβve been up for like 30 min then I do feel rested and awake. It just takes me some time to get there!
Pretty much never. I'm a night owl and am generally up until midnight most nights, but need to be up between 6-7 for work and school. Yesterday I slept until after 9 and then took a 3hr nap in the afternoon. I felt rested after that, but it just isn't feasible for me to get that much sleep during the week. Even if I try to go to bed earlier, I can't fall asleep.
I used to need ALOT (like 12+) and then I started doxepin and it went down to 10ish which my doctor says is still on the high side. Well I got an oura ring in December and I found out that I get hardly any deep sleep. Like sleep disorder amounts....regularly only 5 minutes when Iβm sleeping 8 hours
Long story short, Iβm working on it with sleep meds and better sleep hygiene. Which is hard because Iβm naturally a night owl but somehow birthed 3 early birds.

Generally I feel like I get enough. I sleep usually 9-9.5 hours per night. I know myself and if I get less than that consistently, things go downhill. For my mental health, I need sleep.
@@ My DH leaves the house usually by 5 or 5:30 so mornings with the kids are always mine. He lets me sleep in on Saturday and Sunday and I will usually get 10+ hours of sleep those nights.

Yes. I usually go to bed between 11-1130 and wake up at 6. I either work out in the morning or work on a project (reading or writing). I feel well-rested throughout the day (I donβt drink caffeine very often).
I have a good bedtime routine and typically am not on my phone or laptop at least an hour before bed. I think winding down away from a screen definitely helps.
Yes. I am fiercely protective of my sleep. I need 9-10 hours to feel good the next day. I take a doxylamine-succinate each night which helps me fall asleep and stay asleep. I get in bed around 8:30pm most nights and read or watch my iPad until 9:15pm/9:30pm and then I get up at 6:30am.
When I was on break, my sleep and wake shifted just an hour later to 10-10:30 to 7-7:30. I'm definitely a morning person vs. a night person. Not, like, bubbly and happy in the mornings, but I much prefer getting up and getting stuff done and enjoying the day.
Rarely. Sometimes I go to bed at 930-10pm and get up at 7-8am. I tried shifting to get up earlier thinking I slept too much and that didn't work either. Now I go to bed around 10-11pm and get up at 8-830.
I know I donβt get enough/quality sleep (kids/pets), and lately itβs been worse than usual bc of one of of my fucking cats. I get rage-y/angry (the tired version of hangry) when Iβm especially tired, and thatβs me pretty much all the time lately. I donβt like myself much these days because of it.
My goal tonight is to try and go to bed early and hopefully it helps.

I technically get enough sleep. I go upstairs, take melatonin, and get into bed at 9. I read until I feel drowsy, which is usually around 9:45/10, and then fall asleep easily (usually). I don't have to get up until 6:15. So that would be about 8-8.5 hours most nights, but I almost never sleep through the night. I wake and toss and turn several times, and I almost always get up to pee at least once. Sometimes it takes me an hour or more to fall back asleep, and sometimes I never fall back asleep. And when dh goes in to the office, he gets up at 5:30, so on those days, even though I don't fully wake up, I hear him get up, hear him get in the shower, hear him get out of the shower, etc. until he leaves at 6 and I get up even though my alarm hasn't gone off yet. On the weekends, I am the first person up usually because I can never really sleep any later than 6:15-6:30.
I don't feel tired in the morning usually, but I feel tired in the early afternoon, and also in the evening before bed.
Yes, I usually feel rested. I get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I don't think I sleep well as I wake up a lot, but I don't feel particularly tired during the day.
No. I go to bed later than I should but I should still be getting eight hours of sleep if I go to bed at 11/11:30 and wake up at 7/7:30. Last night I woke up randomly in the middle of the night and was up for 30 minutes or more. Disrupted sleep is my biggest problem.

Usually. I get around 8 hours and usually wake up on my own. I fall asleep between 9 and 10 and my alarm is set at 6 but probably half the time I get up earlier.
It took about 5 years after both kids STTN to feel like I recovered from sleep deprivation.
@@ I never really gave it a second thought until I had a kid and PPD and wasn't getting the sleep I needed which made me more depressed, so I was pretty fanatical about it for awhile, but have relaxed some as he's gotten older. This is honestly most of the reason why I won't have another child, I can't deal with the sleep deprivation again. I usually sleep about 11-7 on weeknights; we might go to bed a little later on weekends but we generally doze until 8. DS lays in bed with us from about 7am on and watches Youtube kids so that we can get more sleep lol.
ETA- I also wake up to go to the bathroom once a night and have since I was in my 20s, so that's pretty annoying, but I usually fall back asleep with no issues. When I was in the middle of PPD I would sometimes wake up though and then my mind would start racing and spiraling about everything going wrong in my life, so I do have a Xanax prescription for times when this happens. Its really the only thing that I know will work and get me back to sleep. Thankfully, I've not had to use it that much.
Yes, for the most part. I go to bed around 9:30-10 and get up around 6:30. Sometimes on weekends I'll sleep until 7-7:30, but that's about as late as I can sleep.
No, but I wake up every few hours, and even when I have been on prescription sleep aides, I still end up waking the same way. The pills just make me dizzy and loopy so I will not take them. I was supposed to do a sleep study at one point but gave up navigating through insurance.
I generally feel great with 7 hours uninterrupted a night. If itβs interrupted, all bets are off because I have a really hard time falling back to sleep and will likely be awake for 1-3 hours.
I can operate pretty well on 6 consistently. If we dip below that threshold I am a hot mess. If I sleep 8 hours that is sleeping in for me. I can probably count the number of times I slept over 9 hours as an adult on my fingers, and it generally also involves feeling like crap because I am super hung over.
My whole family have varying issues with insomnia. Iβm on the milder side in that I can fall asleep easily, but give me three hours and Iβm ready to go (so says my body, my mind does not agree). I loved working split shifts at night when I sailed. I will use a half a Benadryl occasionally to get me back down. I cannot drink any caffeine. I have had it 5 times in my life and I am pretty certain that is what Speed feels like to a more normal person. Coke and Pepsi give me crushing migraines after one hour of bouncing of the walls. Fun times.

Let me know if you figure anything out. When I was keeping my fitbit on at night, it showed that I hardly get any deep sleep either.

I'd say yes, most days I wake up feeling rested. I try to be in bed by 10, and I'm usually up around 7. Some nights I don't go to sleep until closer to 11, but I'm at least in bed reading those nights.
Pre-pandemic, when I had to go into the office, I was up between 4:45 and 5:15 to get a work out in. Back then, I was in bed by 9:30 at the latest (always aimed for 9) if I knew I was getting up that early the next day. I never felt super rested those days. I'm hoping not to go back to that schedule anytime soon.
No, I need a good 9hrs to feel rested. To get that, I'd need to be asleep by 9pm every night, which would involve me getting ready for bed at 8pm...and that's just not a thing that's going to happen. I also very annoyingly cannot sleep in on weekends. I struggle to get out of bed at 6am all week (I slept through my alarm for 10 minutes this morning, for example), and on Sat/Sun I'm wide awake and irritated at 5am.

No. I donβt have time.
I get about 5-6 hours per night during the week. Less on the weekends. Iβm pretty tired all the time. But, when on vacation, I happily sleep 10 hours per night. I donβt know how to make 10 hours work with a normal day. π€·π»ββοΈ
Finally, yes. I didn't for years, as my kids were terrible sleepers when little and I had to get up at 4:45 to beat Boston traffic in the morning. But now that my kids are older and I WFH due to Covid, I sleep pretty well. I go to bed between 10-11 usually, and wake up at 7:15.
