Saturday- brutal 17 mile skate that caused me to remember why I never skate the day after heavy lifting day. My glutes and hamstrings were toast! To make matters worse, I skated with a friend I haven't skated with in a while. He is a stronger skater than me, so I really push myself when I skate with him. I love it, but I was dying!
Sunday-a my high rep/low weight lifting day and a walk with H to enjoy the amazing weather we are having.
Today was the last day of my current lifting cycle, so I'm programming the next 4 weeks now. Looking at some single-leg, body weight, and HIIT stuff to give my body a break from heavy lifting. Ive got a cranky elbow that needs a break and some rehab, STAT. Elbows are important, folks. Be kind to them!
I’m coming in to tell someone besides my husband that I ran 58 miles in January! I ran about that many from July-Dec of 2020 so this is a huge improvement. I set a goal to run 500 miles in 2021 so am well on my way.
Friday I did a treadmill interval run Saturday I did a 5.5 mile walk/run Today I did nothing other than some stretching

sadlebred they really do! I think the stress of teaching contributes to my triggers plus so barometric pressure drops. Today was glorious though and I enjoyed it so very much!
