😞 They still have so many!! I almost wonder if you can call and they’d let you have one. Otherwise they just go unused! Ugh. Hopefully you find one quickly on Tuesday! 🤞
Walgreens dropped a lot of appointments today, so my appointment is scheduled for Tuesday!

Mine is too!!!
I got one for DH for Wednesday!
Unfortunately for me, in the time it took to schedule his, they had fully booked up for me. But I'm ok with that... I have the time to spend checking and will drive up to Bemidji if I have to.
ETA: OMG I got myself scheduled too!!!
I thought this was going to be ridiculous but either I'm really lucky or it's not as tough as I thought it would be.
It looks like CVS opened a bunch of appointments in different states today.
The locally owned pharmacy is getting 1200 doses the week of April 5! (When we open up to everyone over 16.) They have been getting non. Then 100 last week. Things are changing FAST!
Heads up MN people - FYI that Walgreens was letting people with just one underlying health condition book appointments this morning. I still booked my appointment for on/after March 30 (when eligibility expands to everyone) just to be safe.
Boo, I keep getting no available appointments no matter what I put in! Trying to be patient, haha. Might need to text our friend that called us with extras for ILs..

Check early in the morning. I booked our appointments at like 6:00 am.
I'll have to check when I get up in the morning! Thanks!
I just lucked out with an apt through CVS. I have to drive an hour away and miss at least half a day at work, but it's a small price to pay. KEEP TRYING. CVS seemed to refresh appointments every hour or so.
My H has been trying to book for me all day and he keeps missing appts by minutes. He will see appts available, but by the time he enters my info, the appts are gone. He got me a first dose appt at CVS, but there were no second dose appts available so he couldn’t complete the booking. And this is after he got up at 4 am and spent an hour trying then. This is so frustrating I told him to just give up. I’ve already resigned myself to just waiting. This process is so infuriating.
CVS adds appointments at midnight. Set everything up ahead of time so that you are on the screen where you enter the zip code to search for appointments. You may need to go through a different state that has availability to get into the scheduler if Massachusetts is booked up (South Carolina is a good one), but choose Massachusetts in the drop down menu where it asks for the location. As soon as midnight hits, hit search and all the locations with appointments will pop up. After you choose the second dose appointment (or first dose if it's J&J), you have 30 minutes to enter your information.
I'm in SE PA where appointments go super fast (like by 12:02 you're already out of luck), but I've been able to help a lot of people make appointments at CVS this way. It works better on my laptop or iPad. Sometimes on my phone it will automatically refresh and kick me out of the zip code search page back into the main page.

Good luck!
Thx! My H got me an appt! He’s way more persistent than I am, I had given up!
Pilsy , good info for 4/19! We had to search a bunch of towns to get an appt. I was hoping to find something locally, but H got me one in Boston so I took it. Worth the drive!
ETA: H was following a Twitter feed called #vaccinetime (avatar is Homer Simpson’s dad) to get updates on CVS sites that had appts. It was super frustrating because they’d often be booked by the time he got in but we finally got one.
Is anyone in MD still looking? The mass vax in Salisbury has so many appointments this weekend. And they’ve been there a few hours. Someone snag them! 😂
ETA: I know it’s probably far from where people live but it is beautiful out there. Might be nice this weekend!
I’m not eligible until Tuesday
Honestly, if theres an apt and you can make it, I dont think theres any reason for you to wait until tuesday. The scuttlebutt on our community FB is that doses are genuinely going to waste. Can't verify that it's true, of course, but if it's true, better to have the shot in an arm than in the trash.
Queensbury and Syracuse both have J&J for upstate/central. Neither has appointments ATM, but today is the first day of 30+ having access so that's expected that it's busy. Keep checking for those if that's what you're looking for.

For a variety of reasons, I wanted to wait until I was eligible. I got my first shot this afternoon!

Yes! I told my mom they have it at the Fairgrounds. My brother got his pfizer vax there too. She's about 75 minutes away from there, so I doubt she's making any moves to go, but I'm going to try to get her an appointment one of these days.
Is there a summary somewhere of what time online appointments drop? If I have this correct:
Walgreens - midnight CVS - 6AM Kroger - as shipments are received RiteAid - midnight Safeway/Albertson's - ? Costco - ?
CVS has been dropping NJ appts at midnight, four days in advance of appointment date. Then, every half hour later they release more (e.g., 12:30, 1:00, etc). Their location search is also terribly odd and sometimes searching the zip code will come up with somewhere 30 mins away whereas searching the town name will return 3 locations within 10 minutes away (or vice versa). So keep trying the search and refreshing.

Good to know, thanks! I'm in healthcare so I'm done but family members are eligible next week.
I'm hunting for H who will be eligible on Friday. It is so tempting to sign him up today for an appointment after that, but all of the sites I am finding still say you can only sign up if you're eligible under today's rules, not the new ones that take effect Friday.
It is hard to be patient. So close, but still so far!

H's mom (in NJ) was finally able to get her first shot!! Thank you 1yeartogo, waverly, mbcdefg, Susie, doxies, and jaybird ! We've been calling around and so has she. She called a pharmacy today and they told her to come in this afternoon and get it. So happy!
I went onto Walgreens last night to look for an appt for H. It was my first time and I was logged in to my account, so I thought I had to log out and make an account for H and then the appointment was gone. I see people that do vaccine hunting for others, do they make an appointment for each person to do this?
I need to look for appts for others and I had to go through hoops with like verification codes and all kinds of BS, and I don't know if I'll be able to do this for other family members cause they won't be awake at midnight to read me their verification code text messages.

I made an account for each family member. I had to create a dummy email for some of them, so I could do the verification codes via email. If you do phone, maybe you can put your own phone number for that. Walgreens even did a credit check identity for one of my friends, so I had to guess on some of his answers like where he lived in the past/ type of car. Luckily I knew him well enough to guess correctly.
I heard that if you call their covid vaccine number, you don't have to have an account, but I cannot verify that. In the past you needed an account, so if that is true, it would be a new thing.
Other pharmacies have been easier for me to book people because they didn't need an account like CVS or Marianos/Kroger.
For MN folks-I was able to make 4 appts at Cub pharmacies near me. Only one date was ever available at a time and it would say "no appointments" but I just refreshed and went in and out of the site a bunch of times until something popped up!
ETA:It let's you reserve a time first, then gives you 20 minutes to fill out your personal info.
MN people, Thrifty White just opened up around 2,000 new appointments. I’ve been searching for awhile now and was able to finally snag one through their website.
Also for LA people, the Cal State LA site is taking walk ups without appointments today through Sunday. I believe it’s for the J&J one and done vaccine.

Thank you so much - attempting to get my workaholic friends to take time off work to get this done!
Delco/Chesco PA peeps: go register on the health dept website now, even if you are phase 2. I did last night for DH and myself and got an email today to schedule...appts as soon as tomorrow. I answered the same way I did weeks ago to determine I was phase 2...I guess they finally have the volume they’ve been requesting.
Also, if that doesn’t work, I highly recommend volunteering at a clinic with the Delco citizen corps. I did today and was able to get a leftover dose of Pfizer (so now I can cancel my request with Chesco!). It was easy, and everyone there was super happy. I sprayed down chairs in observation for 4 hours. They tend to not give out extras of Moderna, so check to see where they give Pfizer if that’s what you’d want. I know the Springfield and Radnor sites are Pfizer.
ETA: Chesco is now open to all 16+! That explains it.
