I'm looking for a hydration pack, preferably a vest style, that holds ~1.5 liters and has room for keys, phone, and maybe a bar. I'll be wearing it skating, so it needs to not be huge, heavy, or floppy. I've been brand loyal to Camelback forever, but really dont like their recent design overhaul.

I have an Ultimate Direction Ultra Vesta. It’s a women’s pack, and sized for women. I love it. It fits well and doesn’t move around. Mine is 3 years old, I use it weekly, and it’s still in great shape. I prefer to use a bladder instead of the bottles it comes with. It has a lot of pockets to store all kinds of things.
Thanks for the rec. These look nice! Are they lightweight/breathable enough for summer? It is exceptionally hot here in the summer, with overnight lows only going to the low 80s, so that is my only concern about switxhing to a vest. I also think i would prefer a bladder to the bottles and didnt realize that was an option, so thanks for mentioning that.

Yes! It’s very lightweight. I run very warm, but I don’t feel like the pack makes me any warmer than I already am.

I have the women's Salomon Advanced Skin 8 hydration vest, which comes with a couple smaller bladders in the front and you can add a large one in the back. There are lots of pockets. While I haven't used it a ton, it is pretty comfortable.
