Hi! I haven’t participated in like, a year, so I hope it’s okay if I start posting again. I see the board is quite a bit slower than it used to be, but hopefully with races (fingers crossed!) starting up soon more people will come back!
Fri: Peloton ride + strength + abs Sat: 10 miles. First double digit run in a looong time! Sun: rest
Bonus: I’ve been obsessed with apples lately, especially if they’re smothered in a caramel dip.
@peep Party Pace is a pace that is meant for a party. It's usually a slower, everyone stay together pace. It's not slow (ie super beginner ride). It can be a little faster or slower than a recovery ride. Today it was about the same as a recovery ride. My teammate raced yesterday, and I was tired. You also stop. We stopped to feed some goats we like to say hi to. There were horses out, and we gave them some head scratches. Party Pace is meant to be a fun social not hard paced ride.
katyintx Welcome back! We seem to have lost some of the regulars at the start of the pandemic! I hope they come back! We miss an active board! A couple of us have been trying to keep it alive.
minzy honey crisp are my favorite apples! Especially from north Georgia in the fall! Right off the tree!
minzy , I’m obsessed with honey crisps, and they’re still surprisingly inexpensive here (MN) compared to all other fruit so I’ve definitely been getting my share.
sadlebred , I had intended to start posting again last year, but with all races canceled and very low interest in virtual races on my part, my workouts got pretty stale and at times, sparse. Nobody wanted to hear about that. 😂 I hope others will come back, too.
Fri: 20 min run + strength Sat: 60 min Peloton cycle + 3ish mile walk. My in-laws were finally able to come visit since getting vaccinated, so we spent the whole afternoon outside. Sun: 60 min Peloton cycle
Bonus: I used to buy dates at Costco regularly, but we haven't been going as much due to Covid. H brought a bag home for me a few weeks ago and they didn't last very long.
Friday: 30 min Peloton ride + 10 min arms + abs Saturday: 45 min Peloton ride + abs Sunday: 45 min Peloton ride + abs
I wanted to get out for a run, but I ended up working everyday so I got the Peloton in at night.
My favorite healthy junky snacks are tortilla chips and salsa or pita chips and hummus. Normal junky, I LOVE chips and dip or tortilla chips and queso.
katyintx You moved to MN somewhat recently right? I might be thinking of a different poster. Hope you are liking it so far.
Yes, that was me - good memory! We moved last February, and so far, so good. I’m loving having seasons again vs. the constant Houston season of “hot & humid”, and summer is a dream. Now I just need races to start up again so maybe I can meet some of our MN posters. ☺️
