I had my physical this morning. I've gained almost 20 pounds in the last year. I'm kind of horrified with myself. I knew I'd gained weight, because my pants don't fit. But I guess I didn't realize just how much I've put on. My doctor did say that the two medications I started this year both have weight gain as side effects, so couple that with pandemic stress eating and it's a bad combo. She said my main issue is exercise - I basically don't. So time to get back on the BeachBody on Demand routine. I felt really good when I did 21 day Fix workouts each day, but then I just gave up on it. I need to stick with it!
Before the weekend, I was 1/2 lb away from my goal of a 20lb weight loss since Jan. I gained a lb back - not surprising - delicious foods and drinks, totally worth it.
I’m hoping I will hit my goal by the middle of April - really hit it solidly. I have worked out almost every day since Jan 4th, save 1-2 days where the PMS/cramps were too much.
I’m nervous about moving into a maintenance phase. Letting my guard down always leads to a gain. There are certain foods that I’ve cut out completely over the past few months that I reeeeeaaaaaallllly want to eat again. But this time I’ve been able to cook a lot of tasty meals myself and really control what goes into them, vs too much takeout.
DH has lost just north of 30lbs, and has a little more than 10 to go. Since I’m meal prepping and shopping for the family, I’m hoping that him continuing to lose weight will help me to ease into the transition.

Oh yeah I gained a pound when I weighed myself Friday. Spring break was 2 weeks ago and then its like last week was recovery week where I slept in and didn't exercise and only halfway paid attention to what I'm eating.
I talked to my weight loss coach just now and I had a good day yesterday (one day at a time right?) and she gave me things to work on: water, eat out less, and get lunches right.

twinmomma I've gained almost 20 as well but I'm having the opposite problem. I exercise 3-5 times per week but eating habits are trash. I do well for a few days and then eat like crap. I'm going to have my hormones checked at my annual gyno appt in April to see if that is contributing to my weight gain.
I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks and I need too. Kind of avoiding it but also haven't been able to time it right with my mornings being out of whack because of spring break. I do feel better and my back doesn't hurt since I've worked out consistently for almost a month. I worked out with some of my gym girls last week and I struggled the least out of the 3 that aren't fitness buffs like the other girl, so that was encouraging. I'm trying to incorporate running into my workout schedule in addition to crossfit workouts since that's always helped me lose. Once I start losing I'll cut down on running. It's super windy at our house at all times it seems like so I might have to go to the park in town.
I read this while eating Peeps, so...I work out a lot (I have a multi-month streak of daily workouts going, and hit a running recent PR today) but still need to work on eating. The actual food I eat (for meals) is really healthy, but I’m having the hardest time cutting out my beloved Mexican cokes and sweets while working from home.
sdlaura - the snacking and sweets is a killer for me too. I’ve done really well with cutting back, but it’s slowly creeping back in. I’m working out more than I did, but even before Jan 4th, I worked out fairly consistently (not every day, but 4-5 times a week, and definitely not with the same rigor as I do now).
But I love snacks. Sweet snacks, salty snacks, ALL THE SNACKS.
I have been doing exactly nothing well. Yesterday I started walking with BFF after a few weeks of not doing it. I feel so much better even after just one day. Now I need to add better eating (less takeout) and meditation.

Thank God I tried on clothes tonight for my meeting tomorrow. I have exactly one pair of pants that fit and a total of 2 nice tops that fit comfortably.

This is me. I am a runner and I eat well 70% of the time but when I don't, it's ugly. I've gained 20 pounds in the last 2 years.

I miss being able to outwork a bad diet. Literally could until 2020 happened.
I am doing well. I just hit a new run PR (since high school days) I ran 4 miles in 35 min. my pace was 8'34" I haven’t been running like this since before I was pregnant with my first. And even then I wasn't running much faster than this. My first 2 miles were under 17 minutes.
Still making progress on my pull ups and I am still lifting 4 days a week. I missed my step goal while on vacation for 2 days. It was torrential downpour, tornado weather and I was at a friend’s house unable to walk that much.
How are you handling all the holiday sweets?- umm well I ate a Reese’s egg and Cadbury egg last night while working, but I only had one and that’s progress. lol.
I have finally got back in my groove. Last week I challenged myself to workout 5 days and I was able to do it. I just started an 8 week FitnessBlender program again and want to focus on increasing my strength.
I love Reese's pb mini eggs. Luckily, I have been able to limit myself to 1 or 2 a day. I like to savor my treats for as long as possible.

I've plateaued with my weight loss due to vacation and also weight lifting. I feel myself becoming less flabby so I can't base everything on the scale. I haven't bought any Easter candy yet so I'm safe there.
