Daylight savings time has confused me, too. Every day I am shocked when it is 6 or 7pm because it's still so light out and feels like late afternoon. I think this is a function of rarely leaving our house. Time has no meaning so I rely on the sun for some guidance. Now that the sun has changed, I don't know what's going on.
I think I adjusted faster in 2019 because I was commuting. So I was actually out at the same times each day to see the light changing and then associate it with that specific time.
I’m with you guys. It has been really weird and I’m still kind of confused at 6pm when it’s bright and sunny.
Heading to our rented cabin today. Dog is pacing because she saw DH loading the car. Kid keeps asking when it’s time to leave and I hate all of my clothes bc of Covid weight.
I should really get out of bed and get moving. I need to get the ham in the oven and make shortcake biscuits for strawberry shortcake. I’m also thinking a mimosa sounds good. Might need to make a quick liquor store run.
I’m excited about the boys’ Easter baskets this year. And thrilled about the warm weather. It should be a great day to spend outside.
I'm already tired of the "would you do this?" COVID posts lol And I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a LOT of those over the next few months.
Sorry. I get it, yet I contributed. I've resisted posting any of those, because I'm pretty secure in my decisions, but planning ahead for October threw me for a loop and I caved.

It really wasn't directed at any one person and it's just like any other advice thread, really, I guess. I get to thinking why does it matter what any of us would do? Who made us the experts here? We have a couple actual medical/science people, but other than that it's kind of a crapshoot anyway lol but I've asked for advice here for things too, so I'm a hypocrite lol

Amen. Hopefully the detailed descriptions of every precaution taken to wave to a neighbor from the driveway and the assurances that letting a child see another child is ok "because everyone was being safe!!!!" will drop off at least as this annoying shit picks up.
I completely get it. The board would cease to exist if we all stopped asking our often-ridiculous questions and collecting advice we don't plan to follow.
Every now and then, there's real value in asking, because someone points out something substantive the OP hasn't considered. And sometimes we just need to hear we're not alone for worrying about something or have to vent.
Unrelated, but I think I'll burn some fallen branches today. Can't wait! I've wanted to do a burn pile for so long. It's the little things in life.
Made fried dough and sausages for breakfast and currently in kitchen “prepping” for later (I’m drinking coffee in kitchen and I’m on here) while H and E watch church in living room. This is the second Easter on our own (we usually go to CT for Easter with the ILs) and I’m making a leg of lamb. Each of us pick one dish to have with the meal-H wants potatoes as always (I’m roasting in pan with lamb), E picked Mac and cheese (will probably be only thing she eats) and I’m making peas (going to try minted peas which I’ve never done before but sounds spring-y) and deviled eggs.
Last year I made a rack of lamb and it came out so good so I’m hopeful this comes out just as tasty.
Thank god my stepkids are teens and sleep in. I couldn’t do Easter baskets pre-8am today. It’s 10 and they are still in bed.
I think I’m pretty Covid cautious compared to my real life friends/family. But I feel like I’m basically running wild compared to others here, so I rarely post in the “would you do this” because I likely already am.
