Former President Donald Trump plummeted on the Forbes billionaire ranks published on Tuesday, as the magazine reported he could have been billions of dollars richer had he divested from his private businesses during his tenure in the Oval Office.
Falling 300 spots on the coveted list, the former president — who has long boasted about his status as a billionaire — Mr Trump qualified for No. 1,299 on this year’s Forbes billionaires list.
The former president’s tanking fortunes drew stark comparisons to the massive amount of wealth the world’s wealthiest individuals had accrued over the last few years, as Mr Trump delivered substantial tax cuts for corporations and the richest Americans in the country. His current net worth stands at $2.4 billion, Forbes reported.
Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly eyeing a bid for governor of California.
The former "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality TV star and Olympian is "talking with political consultants as she actively explores a run" in the Sunshine State, Axios reported Tuesday.
Jenner's manager, Sophia Hutchins, had previously shot down the idea of a gubernatorial bid.
The only surprising thing about this is that he didn’t get it!
Oh, I'm not. Trump demands loyalty from people but not because he ever plans to return any favors.
Also - what could Gaetz possibly offer Trump in return? He's too young, without enough political pull, and not rich enough. It's like the freaking Mafia.
Ok cool so Citizens United was decided wrong and he will no longer accept any money that is coming from corporations, right?
Oh no! Of course not! Corporate money is good. Corporations are people when it comes to giving money. They're just not people when it comes to taking action. McTurtle said so. "Oh, no, Coca-Cola. We want your money. But we want you to shut up and just give us the money without giving an opinion beyond what your money buys from the Republican party."

Trump also put out a statement about boycotting Coke, etc, and then a pic came out where there’s a bottle of Coke on his desk 🤷🏻♀️
Another result of Brexit (yay, the idiocy of making a border between N. Ireland and Ireland is bringing back the Troubles - who could have predicted that? And why didn't England care?):
Link The Northern Ireland executive will meet on Thursday morning to be briefed on the ongoing unrest, after a bus was hijacked and set on fire in Belfast during a sixth consecutive night of violence.
The vehicle was set alight at an intersectional area between nationalist and unionist communities, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said. Stones were thrown at police while a press photographer was assaulted during the course of their work on Wednesday evening on the junction of Lanark Way and Shankill Road in West Belfast.
Tyres and bins were set on fire near the interface gates at Lanark Way, which open in a wall that separates the two communities. PSNI said they had closed the gates and advised people to avoid the area.

I feel like this is escalating so quickly and hardly a mention of it here in the US.

I don’t wish to minimize the other difficulties that you have noted through the years with Brexit and the shitshow of the U.K. right now. But this re-triggering of violence in Northern Ireland is really terrible. I understand The Troubles a lot more because of a book I read not long ago, so perhaps that’s why this rotten facet of an already rotten Brexit resonates with me. I can’t believe that this is what it’s come to! What other ugly things are waiting for the world at large due to our own human evil and worst instincts that lead to things like Trump or Brexit?
A former local official in Florida who faces an array of federal charges, including a sex trafficking count, is expected to plead guilty in the coming weeks, a prosecutor and a defense lawyer said on Thursday in an indication that the defendant could cooperate as a key witness against Representative Matt Gaetz, who is under investigation.
A plea by the former elected official, Joel Greenberg, could significantly strengthen the Justice Department’s hand as it investigates Mr. Gaetz and others who met Mr. Greenberg through Florida Republican politics and are being scrutinized on potential sex trafficking violations.
Mr. Greenberg met women through a website that connects people who are willing to go on dates in exchange for gifts and allowances, then introduced them to Mr. Gaetz, who along with Mr. Greenberg had sex with them, people familiar with the matter have said.

Excellent news! One more patriarchal pervert behind bars and he will take yet another with him. 💣 💥
The Union vote at the Amazon plant failed..... I wasn't following it closely, but I am kind of surprised that the workers (in general) wouldn't want to unionize given the reported warehouse conditions. I'll be interested to hear their reasoning or of Amazon threatened them...
How does a senior RF death affect your day-to-day in the UK? Business closures, tv programming changes, etc?
If it were the Queen would it be a total shutdown?
TV- already tons of stuff on the public channels and it'll continue all night. Otherwise, nothing much did to Covid. I'm guessing there will be shut downs when the Queen dies.
