Hiii, I'm choppinbroccoli. My "home" forum is However It Happened (GBCTB/TCF/Whatever else it has been LOL), but the TTTC board over there is kind of slow, so I thought I'd join you guys over here, if you don't mind!
My background:
MH and I are both 34. We have been TTC since early 2015. No known issues with MH. For me, a PCOS dx in fall of 2015. For the next 9 months we tried several medicated TI cycles that yielded nothing. Due to our insurance at the time, we skipped any IUIs and went straight to IVF.
IVF#1, 2016 - 8 5d embryos (untested). Fresh ET was a BFN. FETs 1-4 yielded 3 M/C and 1 CP. All of the M/Cs happened between 5 and 6 weeks. We decided to try another round of IVF. Before then, I also decided to lose some serious weight in an attempt to help...something? Also decided to PGS-test.
IVF#2, 2018 - New RE (moved from IL to KC). Only two (or 3, I can't remember) embryos made it far enough to test. They all came back incompatible with life. A bust. All that work for nothing. I was told by this RE to move on to donor eggs. I wasn't ready yet.
IVF#3, 2020 - New RE who tried a different approach. Prepped with acai and CoQ10 for egg quality. Used HGH along with other stims. Ended up with 5 PGS normal embryos! I guess I didn't need donor eggs after all. Then comes my current heartbreak/situation. We have now done two FETs. FET#1 - Fairly standard prep protocol. M/C somewhere between 6w4d and 7w4d (found heartbeat at first u/s, gone by the next). Prior to transfer, I did a mock cycle to do the ERA and ReceptivaDx testing. Action item from this was to start PIO a day earlier. FET#2 - On top of the extra day of PIO, we added intralipid infusions and the Claritin/Pepcid AC antihistamine protocol. Still had a loss at the same exact time - between the first and second ultrasound.
So here I am with 3 PGS-normal embryos, and I am having a really hard time figuring out what to do. I don't see the point in trying more transfers the same way we've been doing them. And I'm pretty sure my body is attacking the embryos. So now I look at it as this: I either see an RI and try again, or I go down the gestational carrier route. Both of these options are so very new to me. And there are so few that have knowledge about either (that aren't rich or celebrities, LOL).
Anyway, I hope I can provide and receive some support here! I didn't want to start "liking" or commenting on things without introducing myself, haha. Thanks for reading.

Hi!
I'm so sorry to read of all this heartbreak.
Our current issue seems to be implantation, so a bit different, but we are a few steps behind you: looking for an RE who will prescribe basic immune support (Prednisone/Medrol, maybe Neupogen and/or intralipid infusions) before moving on to an RI (which won't be until 2022, after switching from our current HMO insurance).

I have seen a lot of RI success stories of women who have implantation issues! I hope your RE can find the right solution so that you don't have to move on to an RI, but if you do, I have high hopes that you will find what you're looking for!
Welcome! I have been seeing an RI and happy to share what I have learned if it's ever helpful!
I welcome all the anecdotes right now! Hahaha.
I'm currently in the process of making an appointment with Dr. Derbala and Dr. KK. I'm further along in that with Dr. D's office as I have been set up in their portal. Still waiting on a call back from Dr. KK's office.
I can't help but think back to when I dipped my toes into IF treatments, how foreign all the terminology was then. I feel like that again now with all the terminology in the reproductive immunology world!

choppinbroccoli I see Dr. KK because it's an hour from me. I know the wait is longer than with Dr. Derbala. I do know they won't schedule an appointment with Dr. KK until you have all your records sent over. I would recommend calling right away in the am at 7:30 central time as it seems then someone answers the phone.
She gave me answers after no one else had any reason for recurrent pregnancy loss. That being said, I still haven't had success. I did pause for almost a year due to COVID
