I don't care if you don't want your kid snacking, grazing, eating pretzels, or can't keep snacks in your car because "omg, plastic packaging". How about only replying if you have something helpful to share? LOL.
I also couldn't imagine my kid knowing that I keep a stash of candy in the car "just for me". Of course you won't hear the end of that.

We don't really do snacks often as my kids are older but I keep a few allergy-friendly things in my bag for my son in case we end up somewhere and aren't sure what he can have. I have a giant mom/teacher purse lol. I think it might be the Floridian in me but the idea of leaving any food in my car freaks me out. **not saying you doing it freaks me out, I just couldn't do it beacuse everything here melts lol.
This thread has reminded me that I want to get some air sickness bags to keep in our cars. DS1 has only gotten car sick once (no more screens in the car ever!), but he felt nauseous on our last trip to the mountains and there are a lot of trips like that in our future. I had absolutely nothing to catch throw up if he vomited. Really need to get a pack of those.
A bin is a great idea. I usually have random snacks floating around the car, or a plastic bag with a few that I threw in on my way somewhere. Having an actual BIN is a way better idea!

My 16 year old has always had terrible motion sickness. We keep emesis bags in the car. They hold a lot (ugh gross).
Motion sickness… We still keep a bucket in the car. When my kids were really little, they got carsick a lot. I used to keep a bucket, plastic bags, baby wipes, Clorox wipes, and an extra outfit in the car.

Does he like trail mix? I try to avoid soft granola bars because they melt (even in MA). I buy single serving packs of goldfish, teddy grahams, fruit snacks for the car. My kids are not playground or snack age anymore, but I keep a few things in the car for emergencies. In the winter I have extra hats, mittens and a couple of sweatshirts in case of car trouble in cold weather. IN the summer I have sunscreen, cheap sunglasses, and couple of baseball caps to ward off the heat in an emergency.

My DD started being motion sick this last summer. The first time, she threw up all over since we didn’t know what was going on. My dad has been motion sick his whole life, and told me to get her a bag of lollipops. I’m not sure where he was when I was a child, since I’ve also gotten motion sick since I was about 6, and nobody ever gave me a lollipop, but I digress. Now, when she starts feeling nauseous, I pad back a dumdum and she hasn’t thrown up in my car since. Now, I have some safety issues with a lollipop in the car, and I sometimes wonder if she’s *really* nauseous or just wants the lollipop, but I’ve decided it’s worth it not to be cleaning up my car repeatedly.

Too hot to keep snacks in the car, but I do have a snack bin in the pantry which is feet away from the door to the garage. The bin has either single-size or pre-portioned snacks that C can grab whenever, or we can grab on the way out the door.
He isn’t snack-obsessed, but I definitely was as a child (and maybe a bit as an adult) so I can see both sides to that.

We do Goldfish crackers and individual packs of almonds or peanuts. I also keep Kleenex, sunscreen, hand sanitizer and extra masks in the car. I should add wipes now that’s it spring. Over the winter our pack of hand wipes froze. Hahaha.
