My kids have suitcases but really need weekender type duffels. Any recs before I just start randomly googling? I’d prefer something durable and longer lasting even if more pricy.
Eagle Creek, REI, North Face, or Patagonia all have great options. They are more expensive but they’ll have them for years and years - I bet it would be a buy it for life item.

I received an LL Bean duffle when I graduated from HS. I bought one for DH (then boyfriend) when he graduated from grad school. DS received one when he was born. All this to say, mine is nearly 25 years old and looks just as good as DS’ 7 year old bag. We’re big fans!
I got my daughter a duffel from Rareform just before covid hit with sleepovers in mind. She hasn’t used it yet but it seems durable and I love that it’s recycled material. www.rareform.com/

Get the LLBean adventure duffle. They will literally have it for the rest of their lives. I have what I think is a large or extra large. It's quite...large so I'd do medium I think.
Mine is from high school or maybe even middle school. At least 20 years old and looks brand new although it gets less use these days because it is so large.
we also all have a different color of the medium LL bean adventure duffle and packing cubes to match I also have the larger size (or maybe XL) but it's tougher to keep under 50lbs for airplanes
Honestly at this point I feel like I live under a rock for never having heard of the LL Bean Duffel, much less not having one. LOL. I really appreciate all the replies!

Thanks for the link. I just bought my DS a backpack and myself a duffle bag. I love that it's made from recycled material (and in the US).

👍 I’ve bought a couple of clutches as gifts and a duffel bag in basically school colors for our silent auction last year. Made from billboards, how cool is that? I like to foist my circular economy agenda on others any chance I get, haha. 😉
