I just started RHOD and couldn’t resist coming to post - I commend D’Andra on her devotion to personal growth (despite the fact that her shaman is a kook) but did she seriously just make a mandala with trail mix - including m&ms - and then set it on fire?

LOL. I was wondering the same thing!!! It looked like she went straight from Trader Joe's to the shaman's house.
It seems like all of D'Andra's life troubles have to do around her pursuit of money and trusts / inheritances. It's sad.
Unexpected: why in the world would anyone throw a party for a mom who just gave birth??? Come one now, let the woman sleep.
EXACTLY! I feel like the grandparent expectations this season for all of them is a little out of control.
I agree! Myrka's mom is all surprised she is upset when the entire pregnancy her mom has been nothing but a negative presence.
I wish they had taken her to see a lactation consultant to help with the baby's latch. I agree that you want the baby fed, I definitely get that, but if she wanted to breastfeed, they could have seen someone to see if they can help her.

Yep. And I kept cringing at how she wants all this personal growth but only wants to move forward but didn't want her family to actually talk about the stuff that had happened. What was she expecting by reaching out to them? The only way to move forward is to actually address the past.

I was really sad when Myrka cried about not being able to breastfeed. There are so many free options for her, they just needed to ask around.

Yes, that was completely ridiculous! Like you want to heal your relationship without actually acknowledging why you fell out in the first place? Doesn't make any sense.
I read online that Glenn Simmons was worth billions of dollars when he passed away.
It would be interesting to learn more about how much money they (D'Andra + stepmother/sibling) were fighting over and what type of relationship D'Andra had with her biological dad. It does seem super f*cked up if she didn't have much of a relationship with him but ended up with 100% of his worth.

So she got most of his inheritance? Or she is trying to butter up to the step family to get some of the inheritance? I am confused by the whole thing.
I found it so ironic when Mama D was going off on the stepmom when talking to D’Andra. Also, why did her husband take her to lunch? Seems like it would have been better for her to drive herself instead of him waiting in the parking garage.

My milk production was not great, I think somewhat due to really fibrous breasts, and C had a bad latch. We spent $$$ trying to make it happen and it just was not in the cards. And even then, I still had the same reaction that she did. When C was five days old she was doing the same thing on the breast and when we finally gave her formula (because I had thought she was eating) she sucked down two of those little bottles. I just cried realizing how hungry she was and how terrible it felt to not realize she was not eating enough. the comment on wet diapers is not true. I mean it is, but it is not everything.

It seemed as though she wasn't even presented with other options to see about latching and wasn’t given the choice in the matter, that's the issue. Not that she was sad she couldn't do it.

I agree. I get not being able to afford a lactation consultant, but her pediatrician should have someone that can help her.

My understanding from watching was that she got 100% of the inheritance from her dad even though Glenn Simmons adopted her when she was very young.
She said that her biological dad had 2 wills, one that left everything to her, and another one that left things to her step-mother and half brother (not sure if that included her). She offered to split the inheritance in half but her step-mother said no and took her to court. Then the step-mother lost in court and D'Andra was awarded all of the money.
My assumption with the wills is that D'Andra had an older copy of a will that was legit and done legally, and then her dad had a new one made after he got remarried and had his son. But I guess the new will wasn't done properly since it wasn't upheld in court. D'Andra also acknowledged that her dad had wanted or tried to update the will based off of what she said on the show.

I don't understand not being willing to take the half offered. That is a lot of money, right? Does her mom have control of that money or money from Simmons? I cannot understand why she cannot get control of the money by this age.

cuadrado but, so, if D’Andra has even 1/2 of what you saw her step dad was worth why does she claim to be so down on her luck with money? Wasn’t part of her storyline last season that she was having money issues? Is she that horrible with money?

This was my understanding too. Also that the will that left everything to D'Andra was due to him forgoing child support in lieu of her receiving the inheritance

Because her mother controls it all. D'Andra does not have access to it until Mama Dee passes away. Money is what her mother constantly holds over her head for control.

Oh okay. Got it.
That is some bullshit. Another reason to dislike Mama D.

yes. I think, besides control, there is a part of her that fears if she does not have that money to control D'Andra, perhaps her daughter would not be in her life as much. Yes, when D'Andra was younger and had a bit of a drug habit, I can see not letting her have access to that kind of money, but she is a grown woman now. If she fritters it all away, that will be on her.
I do find her spending habits on things astounding.

I don't know how much her biological father left in his will. This is speculation based off of what was said on the show, but I think the newer will awarded most (if not all) of the money to the step-mother and brother. I would also imagine that the step-mother felt like D'Andra wasn't entitled to half of the money since D'Andra was a married adult when her father died, wasn't close with her dad and also grew up with a billionaire family?

I could see that, but then what are you owed when your dad did not make much of an effort to be in your life. And the strange thing is, up till then, it sounds like she had had a good relationship with her step-mother and brother.

I am dying that I woke up at 1am the other night and fell into the sister wives trap including googling the wives to see what the whole deal was. So where is good old Kody boy spending his time since three wives claim to have not seen him during the pandemic...with Robyn or someone else entirely? I really don’t understand the appeal of this dude.
