First off I don't even know if I need either one lol but I joined a wagon group on facebook and now I feel like I NEED one.
So any opinions on a double stroller vs a wagon like keenz or wonderfold?
If I got a double stroller I would want one that's tandem, not side by side if that matters at all. I'm interested in a wagon because I think it would be nice for the beach to pile everything in and have the kids strapped in. But idk if I'm just making up scenerios to get a wagon lol.
I don’t have a super nice wagon, but it’s hard to pull a wagon with 2 kids. I can’t imagine replacing a stroller with a wagon. Wagons are nice for the beach and short walks, but strollers are generally better.

I'm sort of here. We don't have anything fancy, just a nice foldable radio flyer that my parents got for DD1. It's a pain to push or pull her in it long distances and she's a small kid. We use it for around the neighborhood and will use it for the beach, farmers markets, festivals, etc. It was affordable, folds for storage and the side zips so you can sit on the edge and it holds my weight.

I used a wagon occasionally for walks when both kids were old enough to walk but young enough to want to sit occasionally. DD was much happier sitting and riding for a lot longer than ds. But even when I would use one (and it was the standard little tikes plastic sided one), mostly I'd just pull dd while ds would walk, but he'd get in for short stretches, and it was unwieldy hard to pull with both of them for sure, so it was only on wide, outdoor spaces, usually with a set destination in mind, like the boardwalk at the beach or the zoo (it had unpaved parts). The sit and stand stroller was much easier for a similar purpose as long as the surface was smooth.

I have two toddlers and have both a double stroller and a beach wagon. The wagon is unwieldy and I can't imagine pulling it around in places where I would typically use a stroller. Way too much effort. I wouldn't get a stroller over a wagon. Also, when we go to the beach the wagon is full of well, beach stuff. There's no way I'd be able to fit all my beach crap and two toddlers. If you have the storage space and money, why not get both? If it can only be one, I'd definitely get a stroller.
How big are your kids? I've been debating this because my four year old (who is the size of a 6 year old) still likes the stroller and outgrew our Uppababy Vista tandem set up. I decided to go with a BOB double a couple days ago. Technically he is at the individual weight limit on that too (50 lbs x2), but the other kid is just a baby so I figure they even themselves out. I might end up getting a pushable wagon too, but I think we will get a lot more use out of the stroller.
Hmmm so the wagons I'm looking at are I guess technically stroller wagons? You can push them like a stroller or pull them and supposedly they're very smooth. Not like a typical costco beach wagon.
janegold my daughter will be 3.5 when I have my second baby. She's super small though shes still in 2T clothes and was only 26lbs at her 3yr appt. So opposite of your kid haha.
I basically never use a stroller now and haven't in quite a while. But idk if seeing the baby in the stroller will suddenly make her want to be in it too. And I did use the stroller a ton when she was still in her infant seat I loved just transferring the seat vs all the buckling and unbuckling.
My DD was a little older, 4.25 years old, and she got to go on the scooter board attachment thingy (I forget what it's exactly called) when DS came. She did have some stroller jealousy, but she got over it because I'd let her push the stroller sometimes and she started loving the scooter board overall in general. Of course now she's 7 and she still pines for it and I'm like "no."

I don’t know... both my almost three year old and I are super jealous of those wagons when we see them at the zoo (she tells me she wants one for her birthday 😂). It sounds like you are talking about one of the newer wagons that you can even snap an infant seat in to. They look pretty easy to maneuver. I’m not going to get one, because my almost 3 year old is our second, but I definitely see the appeal.
I would have preferred a combo wagon/stroller if I needed one now. If you have any plans for Disney in the future though, they banned them from the park and are strict about size limits for strollers.

In that case, I would definitely go with the stroller. My kid was the same age when our second was born last year and he ends up wanting to ride in the stroller at some point whenever we all go for a walk together. I do hear plenty of people with kids that age say that their kid was not at all interested in strollers past 3 or so, but that has not been the case for us.

Same. DS is nearly 4.5 and still would happily ride in the stroller with DD everywhere. I kicked him out last month and now force him to scoot the 1 mile to and from daycare. I'm so done pushing our double-wide stroller, even though he's tiny for his age (~30lbs).
My kids are the same spacing as yours - 3 years between each kid. We never needed a double stroller. When I had my second I got a bumbleride flite that the car seat could snap into. Depending on the circumstances and where we were going I would either put the big kid in the stroller and wear the baby in an ergo, or put the baby in car seat in the stroller and big kid could walk.
I would not have wanted one more giant item to store or haul around in my car.

I had to google and these are so interesting! Do they fold down quickly/easily? How heavy? I've never heard of these before. It is so interesting how quickly baby gear changes. To me, it seems like they are really geared towards families with multiples or a bunch of kids under 3. They look really big/unwieldy to me, so not useful for most of the places I would want a stroller. But I can see how they would be a nice to have if you are really outdoorsy.
I have a bigger age difference, but DD1 would still ride in a stroller if she could, LOL. I got a piggy back board for her when we had DD2. She loved it! It was a $100 attachment to our Cruz, so it was worth it. But even that she outgrew pretty quickly. Now we use one stroller (UB Minu, my splurge!) and they either fight over it or both refuse to ride and it just carries all our stuff. I can't wait to be done with strollers!
We have a Keez that I got about a year and a half ago when my DD was only 2.5. I LOVE it...so much more convenient than a stroller for the things we needed it for. She's an only kid, but she didn't start walking until she was 3, so it was really nice to have for dr appointments, zoo trips, traveling, etc. We don't use it much now because she prefers to walk, but I'm holding on to it until we know if there's going to be another kid.

I can hear that you want the wagon, so go for it.
But, since you don’t push your child in the stroller now, the practical thing to do is to see if your toddler actually gets stroller envy that can’t be corrected with a week’s worth of say no. Then, get a wagon or double stroller. Probably the wagon, because a 3-4 year old who’s used to walking will be in and out 500 times.
I'll be the wagon vote. I have triplets and there aren't great stroller options so we only used a wagon. The radio flyer triple so a bit different. I loved it. Had a bag for all their crap. Easy to clean. Threw them all in there and went on our way.
When I first heard of the stroller wagons was when there was a kerfuffle about Disney banning them. I can see banning the wagons that you drag behind you, but the stroller ones that you push just seem like differently shaped strollers.

My boys are 6.5yo and 4.5yo- we have been using our BOB double since DS2 was born, almost daily (still too...I use it for school drop off and pickup since we live 1.2 mi away and have to be on busy/unsafe roads to get there). I love it! Best money ever spent...I have more than saved in gas with how much I have walked with my boys everywhere with this stroller!

Oh good, so glad to hear it has kept up with your growing boys! We've loving it so far too.

Haha I know after typing this all out I was thinking about it last night and was like I really do want a wagon...
I think I'll wait until after the baby is born and see how life is going. Realistically I really don't know how much use either one would get I don't walk a ton of places that are stroller or wagon friendly. Those wagon facebook groups will really get you though!

In my extensive youtube/facebook research they typically fold flat like a stroller and seem pretty easy to do. Some get up to 50lbs though which is some serious weight (for me anyways) to be lifting in and out of the car.
I know things do change so fast! I think I first saw the Veer almost 3 years ago a little after I had had my baby. I looked it up then and was like "omg I would never spend all that money what a waste!" Yet look at me now 🤣
Our kids are 3 years apart and we did a wagon instead of double stroller. We are in the suburbs so don't walk too much, or rather we can easily limit the length of our trips. I used the single stroller occasionally and my older child just walked.
I have a wonderfold wagon for my 1 year old twins and 3 year old, but it’s also come in very handy with my 6 year several times. But I do love my double BOB! I’d much rather push that. I’m no help, I’m glad I have both and use them both frequently!

If you don’t walk a lot/your age gap is larger, I’d say wagon. I’m likely getting a double but the age gap will be 21 months and we walk daily/I don’t drive.
We have a double stroller and a wagon (veer). We use the wagon for quick trips around the block, daycare pick up/drop offs and trips to the beach (we live near the beach so go often).
The double stroller is more for errands/shopping, sits in the car, etc but definitely gets more use than the wagon.
Our kids are almost 3 & 10 months, we used it last summer with the bucket seat attached.
