And I've totally been slacking on visiting the boards the last few weeks. Been so busy!

So, what's new with everyone?

We looked at a few houses last weekend but nothing that was "the one" for us. We have some time, but I'm also anxious to just do this. Being in limbo is hard! 

I'm teaching the new term that starts on the 10th, so yay for extra money!

This weekend has been a small taste of "normal" and I love it! We met my parents at a restaurant and actually ate inside for the first time in over a year! It felt weird lol. They took the kids from there and we did some shopping before heading home. Yesterday we went to the baby shower and it felt weird but good seeing friends again! We're hoping to start getting together again now that we're mostly vaccinated (just the pregnant friend isn't vaccinated, she was unsure about side effects for baby). Then we did some more running around since we didn't have the kids, lol. We're going to leave in a bit to go to my parents to pick them up!

estrellita, I am loving this feeling of things getting back to normal! My MIL just booked a flight to come visit in a few weeks, it's been about a year since she saw the kids so she is going to be so happy to be here.

I might get my first tattoo on Sat! A shop is having a sale where you pick from a bunch of options and they're really cheap. Simple, just black, but there were a few designs similar to ones I've seen online and really liked. My coworker is going and she really wants me to go with her! I think I might, haha. I just need to figure out where to get it and which one I for sure want!

I did decide to get one, BUT the event was terribly planned. We sat there for 6 hours and finally decided to leave. The people in front of us didn't get in and they stayed super late! It was a mess lol. I was a little frustrated but they did end up making it to by booking people that didn't get in. So I'm now set up for next week! I'm also going to be working with my H's cousin on another one. Maybe for later this summer!

I just had a 3rd surgery on my ear today. My ENT didn't like that I haven't grown tissue over my cochlear implant lead, and that he could still see it. Made him nervous from both an infection standpoint and from a "may knock it loose" standpoint, especially since I have little kids. So today was just a quick procedure to add some donor tissue over my (reconstructed) eardrum to provide protection. But it took FOREVER to actually be taken back. My arrival time was at 12:30 and I wasn't taken back to OR until like 3:30. I was STARVING when I woke up in recovery.

We were finally discharged at 6:45.
