186momx, for DS's birthday we had 2 kids over outside, went to the park and had chocolate doughuts, so nothing that involved much effort. For DD's since it was in the middle of winter, I had found this kids glam place where they do pedicures/ manicures but all kid friendly and didn't take too long to do. It was kind of expensive for what you got, but in the middle of a pandemic in winter, it was perfect and we were the only ones there.
Thanks ladies. We ordered special cupcakes for her to take to practice to share with her friends. We have a family dinner celebration Sunday too. DD keeps saying how she wants a party but none of her circle is up for parties and we are doing the same thing they did which is treats after practice. She got her big gift a SUP last month. I have a couple small things but nothing that is saying wow I'm 10. Maybe I will take her to get a pedicure after she finishes her zoom classes.
