Tomorrow we have the Girls on the Run 5k in the morning. It's supposed to rain. Womp womp.
I'll spend the rest of the day tomorrow painting my bedroom and cleaning it out to prep for beau's son.
Sunday/Monday beau and I are going to NYC to visit his aunt. I'm excited! I haven't met her and she's like his other mom. It's a quick trip, but he goes every few months to check in on her and this my first time joining him. Plus, NYC! If only the theaters were open...
Woke up to find that the dog had vomited all over his crate, so laundry and a dog shower at 6am. On the plus side, he smells significant better.
Kids finish school today. No plans since we canceled the amusement park trip. DD1 has a softball game tomorrow morning, then a team cookout for the whole family in the afternoon. I’m meeting friends for dinner tomorrow night - haven’t seen most of the group since last August, so should be fun.
Sunday DD2 has a birthday party. It’s 90 mins long, 25 minutes from my house. So much to DD2’s dismay, I will be staying. 😬

This is DD's last day of dance camp so I'm taking off early to go watch her dance.
DS has a slumber party at a friend's house. He eaves for camp in a little over a week. I just got notice from the sleepaway camp that a camper has tested positive. So far everyone around the child has tested negative. They are leaving all the other campers who are negative at camp but quarantined with "fun programming". ugh.

Well that is my worst nightmare. And I paid all this money for sleepaway camp that probably can’t be refunded.
Late this afternoon I’m getting my hair cut and colored. Tomorrow I’m taking the kids to a Safari park about 90 minutes away, with friends. We will be in 2 cars, so not a ton of together time, but it will still be fun. We may also go to a dinosaur park that’s in the same area if we get a chance.

After I drop DS off at his dad's, Beau and I are going camper shopping. There's one at a dealership about an hour away that we like online, so if we like it in person and can make a deal, that will be the end of our camper shopping for the weekend. If not, we may drive further and stay in a hotel to shop at more dealerships a few hours from us. He's mentioned that he wants to visit his uncle and aunt/former MIL (his uncle married his MIL) that live 4 hours from us, so we may do that. Or we may come home and go riding in the mountains if the weather is not too bad. Our plans are all hinged on when we find a camper...lol.
Strawberry picking, gymnastic lesson, bday dinner is the plan for the weekend. Weather is supposed to be rainy, gray, and gloomy all weekend so I expect a lot of TV watching.
Today was the last day of school for DD and DS1. I'm thankful that this crazy school year is over and my kids seemed to cope pretty well. Tonight is soccer practice for DS1. Then he has at least 2 soccer games tomorrow since it is a tournament weekend. DH and I hope to take the kids out for pizza and ice cream to celebrate the end of the school year. We just got our farm box today and it has strawberries and rhubarb. DH already promised a pie for me (it's my favorite)! On Sunday, I'll take the kids out to get a Father's Day gift for DH.
We survived a week with the kids home with us while we work.. YAY!
We're working on a house project with the neighbors this afternoon/evening (attempting a DIY pool heater), so fingers crossed that works out. Tomorrow we have ice skating and then some friends from college are coming over. Sunday a birthday party for our old neigbhor's son.. they recently gutted and renovated their entire house, and I've toured through it a few times over the last 1.5-2 years they've been at it, but I'm excited to see the (almost) finished project. It is 100% not my style when it comes to design elements, but I love everything they've done so far.
k3am - DH rigged up a heater for our pool before we replaced our heater. It was a pump placed into the filter that sucked out the water, sent it through 400ft of black hose, and back into the pool. We’d get the pool up to 85° pretty consistently that way.
DH came with me on a work trip to Wyoming Wednesday and Thursday nights (for the first time in the 13 years I’ve traveled a lot for work). With him working remotely and my parents in town, and him always wanting to check out Wyoming, if worked out. We did two dinners with the client, he explored while I was in meetings, and we got a hike in together. The first hike we wanted to do was snowed in but we were able to find another. We got back today and headed straight to softball/kid stuff.
DD and DH leave for a softball tournament tomorrow at 5:45 am. It’s an hour inland and supposed to be over 90 degrees. It doesn’t get that hot here so everyone is dreading the heat.
Sunday is DS2’s 4th birthday party - he turns 4 Monday. We’re having it at a pavilion at a park with a playground and have a face painter and piñata. DD may not be able to come depending on the softball tournament. And as I write this I realize I need to order a cake or cupcakes
No rain for the 5k! But good God I'm out of shape. I did about half running, half walking and now my knees and feet are killing me. I ended up walking most of the second half with the slowest girl, which was just fine with me!
Well it is muggy and warm today instead of raining. My allergies are killing me. My whole face hurts to touch and I want to claw my eyeballs out.
DD said she had the best birthday ever after our impromptu cupcakes in the parking lot after practice. She got spoiled by her gym sisters and the girls just had a blast climbing poles and playing with the puppies who came to pick up. This mom says easiest party or not party ever!
