Vacation spots in NC/SC

Does anyone have any recommendations for resorts or places to rent in NC/SC near the ocean and have a swimming pool?  
We’re looking at going in early March-will we need a heated pool?

it’s for 3 adults and a 10 yr old 

edit-we’re looking to relax by the pool, play in the sand but would also like some nice restaurants and things to do nearby

I don't have any specific resorts, but we like Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. Wilmington is a cute town and so is Southport. My son loved visiting the Battleship North Carolina. And yes, early March is pretty chilly still. Usually.

Hilton Head Island would be a good place to go. A little farther south as it could be anywhere from 60-80 degrees at that time. You can ride bikes all over the island, plenty of mini golf, good restaurants, kayaking. Savannah is about an hour away if the weather is cool. There are a bunch of resorts right on the beach as well as houses for rent.

I live in Charleston and believe you would ABSOLUTELY need a heated pool in March. Hilton Head would be a good bet.

It will be really cold. We went to SC one April for spring break and it was cold not beach weather at all.
