calamity , I'm sorry you're in pain. Do you mind my asking what illness you have? I truly believe that most friends, if they're good friends, would want to know what's going on so they can support you. That's something I have to tell myself constantly, as I tend to be quite private IRL. I'm working on being more open and vulnerable; it definitely doesn't come easily/naturally to me.
I have rheumatoid arthritis. I've tried so many different medications and I have had so many bad reactions. I'm on Otezla right now, but there is no relief from any of the symptoms, just the lovely side effect of diarrhea
I have a good friend I talk to about it, but she's got her own shit going on too.
I'm sorry to hear that. My DH just went to the doctor last week because he has pain in his knees, and a preliminary blood draw shows some sort of autoimmune issue, one possibility being RA. He meets with a rheumatologist next Tuesday. Sending you hugs and hoping you can find something that give you relief.

babsbunny, I'm sorry about your kitty. Ours are 14 and 16. The 16 year old has been having a few health issues so I know to cherish every minute we have.
lust2hart, if it is RA feel free to ask me any questions. I'm actually being treated like it's psoriatic arthritis since a lot of my pain is in my tendons. Having a good rheumatologist makes a huge difference ((hugs))
babsbunny, I'm sorry about your senior kitty. I'll be devastated when it's my cat's time. We got her a few months after we moved into this house so she's been a constant presence in our lives.
She climbed off my lap shortly after I posted, and I gave her a good brushing (which she really enjoys) and then got her high on her cat banana. She's now snoozing on one of the blankets that needs to be washed, but she has a temporary reprieve since I'm doing the other two loads first.
Gato , if you come to/through DFW, I will be your roller coaster buddy. If you go to Orlando, go solo... the parks had a suprising number of single rider lines that went so fast.
Nonny , sunnysally , give them an extra hug. I put my senior kitty down today, hence why I am wasting time on my tablet and not actually working. Our house had 2 kitties for 17 years, and now 0. It's going to be so weird.
I am so sorry! We put our 20 year old cat down on Thursday and I'm still struggling. Her sister died five years ago. We have a sweet puppy who is still recovering from a broken leg and surgery and we lost another dog young at the beginning of Covid. My favorite combo is two dogs and two cats but after losing two dogs and two cats I don't know if I can do that again especially @@@@ with kids too. I will keep you in my thoughts. It's also hard to take care of senior dogs and cats but it doesn't make missing them any less
babsbunny, I’m so sorry. We lost our 18 year old cat last October. Our 17 year old is also looking frail these days. We adopted both as kittens. It was hard enough losing one, I can’t imagine having neither.

I’ve had terrible allergies this season ; worse than I’ve had since I was a kid. It’s been awful since mid-May. And for the last 2+ weeks I’ve had what I assume is a sinus infection and a wicked headache that nothing has worked for and I’ve. Tried. Everything.
Apparently last night was a turning point because (gross alert activated) I had no idea that a single sinus could hold as much … let’s just call it volume … as my right sinus … let’s call it freed… last night. So so so disgusting but such a relief!

It’s amazing. Our ENT suggested using a sinus cleanse thing daily.
I’m terrible at remembering, but the days I do it seems the help.
