$600 later and I have 9 swimsuits on their way to my house to test out. But we leave for vacation in just under 2 weeks and want to make sure I find something I love, so here I am... asking for recommendations in case I need to spend more, lol.
I've got three on the way from Summersalt and a few options from Dick's Sporting Goods. I'm all about a bikini with high/mid rise but because I am a 32DDD it's hard to find supportive but cute tops.
I've checked out so many sites (Athleta, Title Nine, Venus, AE, Aerie, VS, etc), but please tell me your favorite place in case I missed it! I feel like shopping in mid-July for swimsuits was a bad idea because so much is sold out. Womp womp.

I got 2 new ones from Summersalt this year. It took a few back and forths to get the fits right but I settled on a one piece Sidestroke and a 2 piece called "The Seafarer".
I can't do the high waist bikinis though as they cut me right in the fatest part of my belly so I went with the tie bikini bottom. They have A LOT of high waisted options though.
I can't wear my cheap Target ones anymore. They feel SOOO unsupportive comparatively so I guess now I am the type of person that only wears $100 bathing suits. LOL
Their bikini's look really cute and they look high rise. I am not sure how supportive the tops are but the one piece seems supportive, and I am a 32G.
There are some really cute ones on their site (that look really similar to Albion Fit, which I'd been eyeing) but their shipping timelines are a littttttle tight. But I am bookmarking for the future!

Oh man, I only ordered one size for top and bottom... maybe I should have bought multiple sizes and returned what didn't work. Sigh.
I haven't done high waisted before, but I have a ridiculously long torso and I am super hourglass shaped, so I am hoping it'll work?
I love Boden, but after having to trash 2 suits this summer (we're admittedly hard on swimsuits between the beach/pool), I wasn't amazed at what was in stock early July.

The one piece I ordered was a long torso size so check those out too. I thought high waisted might be cute, but it just cut me right in the wrong spot. I prefer to wear things right under my pooch instead of over, I guess. So many people look adorable in high waisted ones though!!
I need to check out some of these places. My usuals are Title 9, Athleta, and Lands End... and so far I haven't seen anything I think I'd feel great in. We're going on vacation to my dad's beach house in about a month, and after a year of pandemic... and several months of buying a new house at the exact same time as landing a new large client at work, I have paid no attention to my body or myself in months. It... shows.
I have slowly been replacing my suits with all suits from summersalt. I love them and hope those will work for you! Carve Designs is another great brand that I have from a local surf shop but they sell online, I use them for when I get bikinis and summersalt for all my one pieces. I just ordered another summersalt yesterday!

I almost asked this same question yesterday after a weekend with friends and needing better options.
I’m a 34G and I need support. I thought I had found the perfect romper by miraclesuit, but in sizing up for torso length, I lost the smaller band to support my top.
I’m worried the summersalt just won’t be enough, but I will have to check it out with the others.
This summer I’ve gotten a few from cupshe on Amazon. Cheap and cute. We swim at the pool/go to beach a lot. I’ve spent $100+ on a single suit and they all seem to have the same shelf life.
I just bought one from Lands End. I haven’t worn it swimming yet, but when I tried it on I liked it. I bought it because a friend of mine highly recommended it.
Prior to that I was wearing a Speedo brand suit from Costco. I like it a lot but I probably should’ve gone a size up (hence why I ordered the LE suit).
Did you already look at jcrew? I also like everything but the water but I think its better to go in person since they have so many brands/styles there.
I've always bought my swim suits at Macy's. Cute pricey ones when I was a newlywed, and now regular basic ones because we are in between pools at our town pool so I was forced to get one. I have one older kid who wants to play in the regular pool and one smaller kid who wants to alternate between the baby pool and regular pool.
Last week was the first time since DD was born that I put on a swim suit. She's 7 now.
I have a bunch of these also but had to size way way way up in the top (I was an 8/10 at the time and size 3 XL top). It looks like this particular brand is unavailable but I feel like different sellers on Amazon have the exact sane things so maybe you can find it under another seller. The high waist bottom is really flattering.
Also just bought this one. I ordered size XL (I am about a 14) but they accidentally sent XS which honestly almost fit so it seems to run large. I am waiting for an exchange to M which I think would be more comfortable.

I can't do high waist either, because they actually make my thighs look larger, the way they are cut (and I do not need help in that department).
Also agree with you on the Target bathing suits! I've lost enough weight to wear some bathing suits from years ago, and the Target (and Old Navy) ones are totally unsupportive and also REALLY low cut, like I'm concerned I'm going to accidentally flash someone if they slip down.
The past few years I've purchased a lot of Cupshe suits from Amazon (you can buy from their website too but Amazon's just easier for me with returns etc). The older ones are starting to pill and look a little faded, so I doubt they last more than 2-3 years, but they're cheap and cute.
I got the suit below from amazon and I'm kind of obsessed with it. I'm about a 36G at this point. The top has a supportive layer underneath and some padding so it feels a bit like sports bra (one that I'd use for yoga or something not like a running sports bra). Also the straps prevent wardrobe malfunctions with my super water-anxious, clingy kid.

I love these. I got two one-piece, deep v-neck with ruffles in black and a mustard yellow and get comments on people loving my bathing suits all the time.
I used to be a 36H before my breast reduction (now a DDD) and this is the first year that I've been able to buy a suit that hasn't cost me a billion dollars. I got two from Lands End and you can mix and match all sorts of tops and bottoms and the tops have underwire for support. I'm a big fan and will definitely buy more in future years.
