Right but can’t they just cut up the hot dog more on the first offense, notify the parent, the. Refuse to serve it the second time? I mean there are ways to fix this error.
Maybe not. They may not be allowed to alter the food without certification like Servsafe.

There may be regulations on the food size and variety. My daughter had food intolerances and we did baby led weaning. Our pediatrician wrote several notes to exempt us from food size and variety. They basically said to only feed food we provide, exactly the size we send it in as, and we do not need to meet the food categories they required. To cut food how they required would have been a choking hazard for her since we were doing baby led weaning and she was used to biting the appropriate size. When I would cut small she would shove a handful of pieces in her mouth which wasn’t safe.
I am sorry you have so much stress over this. Food prep was helpful for us. Having several days of food cut and ready for lunches.
